Transition Instructions

Guidelines for changing your pet’s current dry or wet food to Halo dry or wet food:

Days 1-3: 75% old food, 25% Halo

Days 4-5: 50% old food, 50% Halo

Days 6-7: 25% old food, 75% Halo

Days 8+: 100% Halo

Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

About Halo Wet Cat Food

America's Best Loved Holistic Brand
Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.

Superior Digestibility

Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.

What's in Your Cat's Bowl?

With Halo, you won’t see a meat meal hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:

Holistic Whole Meat: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.

Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

  • I love Spot’s Stew!!

    By on

My cat’s been eating Spot’s Stew dry food for years. It was the only thing that finally stopped his issues with diarrhea that he had since he was born. But, he’s old now and recently his teeth have become painful. I tried all kinds of other wet foods and he didn’t like them/went back to having diarrhea. Spot’s Stew to the rescue again! The Turkey & Duck and Quail & Greens are the only ones he can eat with his bad teeth, since they are the smoothest and apparently tasty!!

  • Not a hit with the kit's...

    By on

I just want to cry. I bought a couple of cans at the store. Kitties ate like it was candy. Bought a 12 can case and everyone walked away...what gives? Kitties, bah!

  • Less Oder than fish and cats love it

    By on

Some mornings you just can't handle the fishy smell of cat foods. This Halo turkey and duck has much less Oder and my cats eat it better then the fish variety.

  • Halo Canned Cat food

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I have three cats, one is picky, one semi-picky and one that would eat just about anything. I bought three flavors of Halo and the picky cat would barely touch it. He especially hated the Turkey and Duck. Semi-Picky would eat it but leave a lot in his dish and the non-picky ate it but he didn't seem thrilled with it. But he did eat it all. Since I tried three flavors, I won't be buying again since it didn't really go over great with my gang.

  • Turkey and Duck

    By on

Our cats simply love this food. we had never ordered the Turkey and Duck before however, when Chewy was sending out our subscription order they were back ordered on one of the food items. I chose the Turkey and Duck to replace the back ordered item and all four of my Tonkinese cats loved it.

  • Good formula, but a bit rich

    By on Top 500 Contributor

My cat likes this formula, but it is a bit rich for his somewhat sensitive tummy, so he only gets about 1 ounce 2x a week. I like feeding him the good ingredients, including veggies. He also gets Weruva Goldilocks variety and blue buffalo kibble, so the stew is a nice treat for him.

  • All 3 will eat!

    By on

In my search for a can food that is IBS friendly (no grain, beef, fish) AND that my other two cats like as well. This is one of the two they all eat.

  • Sadly, my 3 didn't care for it!

    By on

Bought it for my guy with tummy issues. He wanted no part of it. The girls didn't like it either. Next time I'll buy one can before ordering a case. Expensive lesson. All in all, I love Chewy! I've recommended Chewy to several people and they now order.

My cats like this Turkey & Duck can food by Halo. After I spoon out the food for my cats the dogs like to lick the spoon so they like it too.
