Transition Instructions

Guidelines for changing your pet’s current dry or wet food to Halo dry or wet food:

Days 1-3: 75% old food, 25% Halo

Days 4-5: 50% old food, 50% Halo

Days 6-7: 25% old food, 75% Halo

Days 8+: 100% Halo

Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

About Halo Wet Cat Food

America's Best Loved Holistic Brand
Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Holistic. Whole. Humane.

Halo is committed to providing no less than the best holistic recipes to satisfy your cat’s carnivorous cravings. Their wet cat food combines pure, natural ingredients like whole meat, poultry and fish plus non-GMO fruits and vegetables for delicious, more digestible meals. Following a whole meat philosophy, Halo never uses animal by-products or meat meals—just the real, whole proteins your cat needs to thrive.

Superior Digestibility

Halo believes that whole meat equals a whole lot more digestibility. As obligate carnivores, cats need meat, not just parts of animals that you wouldn’t consider to be meat. When your pet gets whole proteins instead of rendered meats like chicken meal or fish meal, they’re getting optimum nutrition that’s easier for their body to digest. And that means they can get the full benefits of each nutrient-rich ingredient.

What's in Your Cat's Bowl?

With Halo, you won’t see a meat meal hiding anywhere in the ingredients, and there’s no corn, wheat, wheat gluten, rice or artificial colors, preservatives or flavors. Here’s what you will find:

Holistic Whole Meat: Salmon, whitefish, chicken or turkey that's slow-cooked provides a more digestible source of protein with up to 16 times less ash than rendered meat.

Non-GMO Produce: Fruits and vegetables from farms that refuse to use genetically modified seeds that rely heavily on chemical fertilizers and herbicides to produce crops.

This is a success most of the time. He likes it some days and other days he smells it and looks at me like im trying to poison him but then eats it later. I have had better luck with chicken and the lamb flavors from Halo. Maybe not the best flavor if you are trying out halo for the first time but still good for variety.

  • 3 paws down

Decided to give this a try because it was on sale and it seems like a quality product. I also like the idea that proceeds go to charity. However, all that goodness did not impress our kitties. Three out of four of them did not like it, with two of the four refusing to even try it. I do not recommend this product.

  • 2 paws up! Our kitties like this product.

We have 10 lb "redheads" - tabby brothers. One of them devours it, though in all fairness, he likes everything and is the antithesis of a finicky eater. His brother likes it too but took a little longer when we introduced it. Very soft, easy to serve.

  • Sounded good but not to my cats

    By on

I haven't any trouble with the chicken or whitefish flavors but my attempt to 'treat' my three to another choice was a failure. Only the alley cat will eat it and then only a little. Not buying again.

  • The cats love it.

I feed them Instinct too. The Instinct has raw peas and diced carrots that I pick out. Halo is a smooth pate and nothing to pick out.

  • Smells and looks good

    By on

I feel this cat food is a wonderful product, but my two cats would not even try it. They showed zero interest in it, so I can only give 4 stars. I even heated the food up..no use. The food looks really palatable and smells "good". The quality seems exceptional, but unfortunately I have a case of it and no one to eat it. Both my kitty boys are picky eaters, so maybe your kitties will like it. I will donate the food to my local "cats only" shelter.

This helped my cat during a mild upper respiratory tract infection. He was not able to chew well and the smooth texture went down easily.

  • Graysie Likes It

My cat, Graysie has an allergy to chicken and chicken products and there is no chicken listed in the ingredients. Keep up the good work Halo.
