  • Days 6 - 7: 25% non Halo food, 75% Halo

Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.

    5 weeks of tummy troubles—GONE!

    By on

We adopted a kitten in mid-September and tried to transition him from the kitten food we were provided from the shelter to a national chain food we used for other pets in the past. The soft/loose and smelly stools we thought would be temporary lasted for 5 weeks. And the gas? Good Lord—how can a 12 week old kitten have gas THAT BAD?! Vet visits led us to bland diets, Rx food—nothing worked. I made a list of all the common ingredients in the foods we tried and that led me down the grain free path. I’ll admit I’m still a bit skeptical of pets needing to be on a grain free diet—but I needed to try. I got a few cans of this to start. Let’s just say I don’t have to air out the spare bedroom anymore. We’re sold! Thanks Halo! … more

    Saved my kitten

    By on

My kitten had diarrhea for days, visited his vet and was prescribed a Hill Science Diet with a pre/probiotic powder. Nothing helped after a couple of weeks until my sister swore by Halo. I had a feeling my kitten was just sensitive to chicken, so I purchased these Halo Whitefish cans, along with their dry food, and they literally saved my kitten. Normal bowels within a couple of days and a much happier kitten overall. Poop less smelly too! So thankful for the recommendation!

    My felines won’t touch it

Normally Wellness is my go-to choice if my felines are picky. Sadly, they wouldn’t touch this one.

    1 Kitty Loved It

    By on

I have two cats; one of them LOVED this food and would beg for it. The other wouldn’t go near it. So, apparently, it just depends on the personal tastes of your cat if they like it or not.

    Finn approved!

    By on

After adding a kitten to our household this Fall, I was happy to find a quality kitten food he not only likes but works with his dietary needs. So many products for cats contain chicken, even the ones labeled as fish or other protein sources as the main "flavor". My little guy can't eat chicken and this food works great for him. I am sad to see all the adult formulas contain chicken however so it looks like we'll be looking for a different brand when he grows up if the formulas don't change in the meantime. But for now, I'm happy to have this option for him. Not supporting factory farming or GMOs it's a huge selling point for me.

    My kitten loves it!

    By on

My 12 week old kitten eats this like its the best thing he ever tasted. This was my second choice for food for him because it doesn't have pumpkin, but he loves it. So, I will give him this twice a day and feed him one with pumpkin once a day.
