Pets with sensitive stomachs may need to transition a little more slowly to avoid any digestive upset. If you introduce the new food too quickly and your cat or dog experiences some digestive upset, just back up to the previous transition amount where your pet wasn’t having any trouble and feed that amount for a few more days before continuing with the transition. Once your pet is eating all Halo food, if you switch between Halo recipes, consider a 2- or 3-day transition to minimize stomach upset.
Kittens ate this when I initially introduced it to them months ago. Now they refuse it. Not even the Feral cat who gets fed outside will eat the recently purchased cans of Halo whitefish.
My babies were very happy with this food & I am pleased with the quality.
My kitten loves to eat it whenever we feed her wet food. She knows to stand by her bowl at the sound of the can opening.
I have 3 kittens. They all like this food , and I like the ingredients. They don't go crazy or come running for it, but they eat it. 3 stars for me.
Just adopted a 3 month old kitten. Needed food fast and Chewy came to the rescue. Received my product next day and my little kitten loves the food !
My Balinese kittens are extremely picky eaters, but they don't refuse this.
I hope the guys that make Halo read this. I’ve been feeding my cat the Halo brand for over a year now and there have been times where he got some horrific diarrhea that plagued him for weeks at a time and once even ended him up at the vets. I just chalked it up to him eating something bad or a virus or something because all tests came back negative. In the past year this has happened 3-4 times. Well now I have a new kitten and he’s eating the same Halo wet and Halo dry food as my older cat. We just tried the Turkey/Duck flavor and they also both eat the kitten Chicken and the kitten Whitefish flavors. All was initially well with both of them. The last, last batch I got BOTH the kitten and my cat got sick. Horrible diarrhea and gas which is so unusual for a cat. I’ve never had a cat have gas like a dog would. Went through two huge 40 pound bags of cat litter in a weeks time because all four of their litter boxes were in bad shape from all the diarrhea and I was forced to dump each and bleach all the boxes again. So now I have a control group. The kittens getting sick too. So I bought several new cases of the same flavors I always get and I set what was left of the THREE other flavors off to the side to see if they were ok with a new batch. Opened a new case and diarrhea cleared up in days. Went back to one of the older cases and boom, diarrhea came back. But here’s the thing, it’s not every can in a bad case. It seems like some of them are tainted and others are fine. I’ve had it happen with the newer case too! It’s like a game of diarrhea Russian roulette at this point. Keep in mind I put Fortiflora in all their food and give them a spoon of canned pumpkin every meal and have done so from day one. They get triple reverse osmosis filtered water and live in a very clean environment. Neither of them are allowed people food of any kind. This new batch of the Turkey/duck has had cans with a few bone like pieces! This food is so expensive and it’s supposed to be human grade quality. Changing a cats food is not a quick process and generally results in tummy troubles for a month as you wean them off one food to go to a new one (and that’s assuming they’ll like the new food) so obviously I tried to make this work before jumping ship. But now I have four new cases I just bought that I’m afraid to use, half of the older cases I set aside as an experiment that I’m afraid to use, two bags of litter that got used up which means I have to buy more sooner than I normally would, and two very unhappy, grumpy, not feeling well kittens on my hands. Im tempted to post this same review on all the other flavors I bought. Im not the bad review type and I try to be as fair as possible when giving a review but enough is enough. I wish I would have figured this out earlier so I could have saved not only money from the past year but my poor kitty getting randomly sick here and there. It was only because my new kitten got sick too that I realized the quality of the food is not consistent. I’m really upset
When I opened the can I knew my kittens wouldn't eat it . It's really grainy looking and dry. We found a lost cat roaming the neighborhood and fed it to her. The rest I gave away.
Disappointed that my kitten actually walked away from this food.
This is the only kitten pate food I could find without chicken in it. One of my older cats is allergic to chicken and so I don’t bring anything into the house with it. The kittens absolutely love it and are thriving on it. They went from being underweight when I got them (very young) to being right on track for kitten weights 6 weeks later. This isn’t the only thing they eat but they really started to thrive when I got this.
