Description

Halti has become the world's favorite canine headcollar – an impressive feat and welcome relief to dog owners whose pets are still a little leery of the strange phrase ‘heel’. With Halti headcollars, there are no metal parts that come in contact with dogs’ skin and the point of steering is well down the nose and away from the eyes. Its unique design ensures the best steering efficiency and comfort for dogs so afternoon walks can now be a fun, stress-free activity for both pet and parent. Additionally, each headcollar comes with an on-off muzzling action that can close dogs’ jaws, making training and behavior modification practical and safe.

  • Mostly In Love with Halti!

    By on

This product does everything that it should. We always have one on at least two out of our three giant dogs and it SIGNIFICANTLY decreases the pulling. The only downfall is that because of the placement on the nose, we get a lot of dirty looks because people assume we have muzzles on the dogs and we're being cruel to them. People just don't understand that the babies are okay! The other downfall is that if you have a butt-head dog like ours, he doesn't care how uncomfortable it may be, he's going to pull his hardest! Overall, it does work though and we're customers for life.

  • Halti to the rescue

    By on

the Halti head collar makes walking my dog a pleasant experience for both of us!! She does not pull like she does with other collars. The Halti doesn't crawl up on here eyes like another head collar I used. I have highly recommended this item to many people and will continue to do so.

  • Best Lead Ever

    By on

100 lb unruly Rottweiler that was given to us with a harness, collar and a 2” chain leash. He could have taken me anywhere, I could not control him at all. I put the Halti on, after a few bucks I was able to walk him with one finger.

  • Helps with pulling, but broke the second use

    By on

This product really does help to reduce the force when my dog pulls, but the second time I used it with her, it broke apart to the point of no return.

  • Great product

My rescue had been trained by the SPCA with one of these, and it makes a huge difference. She associates wearing it with better behavior, and it eliminates her urge to pull. It's also very helpful when training dogs to not pay too much attention/stare inappropriately, as you can gently redirect their attention and maintain control.

  • Better head halter

I have an 80 lb. German Shepherd that must imagine she is running the Iditarod every time we set out on walks. She pulls like a freight train. This headcollar is not a magic solution. For stubborn dogs like mine, this won't stop her from pulling. It helps some, but when she is determined she pulls like a sled dog, then stops to paw dramatically at the halter, and then she's off again. Prior to buying this collar, I had a Gentle Leader and worked with her for 8 months with it. I was hoping since the Halti's strap around the nose tightens up when she pulls (or I do), she would put it together and that behavior might cease. She doesn't care though. I do like the slip feature mentioned as well as the fact that these straps are wider and seem like they would be more comfortable for the dog. The safety strap that clips on to her regular collar is a nice feature. Altogether a nice product, but not the perfect solution for every dog. … more

  • Great Tool

I am a dog trainer. I was introduced to this collar when I first acquired my husky. This made walking him possible. The human in charge must be vigilant that the dog does not get any part of the collar into its mouth. This collar does not eliminate the need for training. You must still appropriately remind the dog where it must walk and reward it when its behavior is acceptable. I recommend head collars and sometimes other brands depending on the size or shape of the dog's head or muzzle, but I keep coming back for the original design of the Halti. I love the latch that secures it to the regular collar. Safety is always an issue. I love this collar.
