The Halti OptiFit is a premium headcollar designed to provide a flawless fit while putting a stop all that pulling and tugging excited pups are known for when out for a walk. Headcollars are a gentle way to direct your dog’s head, steering him into desired positions. The OptiFit is specially designed to fit dogs that other headcollars don’t – from short nosed Boxers to long nosed Greyhounds. With a self-adjusting chin strap and unique, reflective cheek straps which follow the contours of a dog’s face, it won’t bother his eyes or slide down to his mouth.
Unique design gently directs your dog’s head, steering him into desired positions.
Comprised of a self-adjusting chin strap and reflective cheek straps that follows the contours of your dog’s face.
Fits dogs that other headcollars don’t, including short and long nosed breeds.
Provides maximum comfort and optimum fit no matter what shape or size.
Can be used as a passive means to stop dogs pulling or as an active training aid.
To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet’s neck for comfort.
This item really controls my dog from pulling. I have two knee replacements and I have fallen several times due to his pulling. The first time we put this on him, he didn’t pull at all, He wore it for about two months and now he does wear it, because he’s learned to walk with pulling on me. He listens to my commands that he has learned. I love that I can finally take him out for a walk without fear of falling.

These things work wonders. I definitely like this brand over Frisco or PetSafe. It just seems like they took more time into engineering this one properly.
Doesn't seem to be as uncomfortable to my two dogs as the others.
Great job chewy for having this as an option to choose from. Keep up the good work.
Saved me from my growing pup
on Dec 8, 2020
My pup starting with leash training has always been a runner and bolter. After growing 10 lbs every month, he finally got to 50-60lbs where I just could not longer walk him with the chest harness without being dragged. This harsh finally slowed him down, helped me get his attention for commands and has basically helped to get his training back in line. We're finally able to walk next to each other. It honestly makes me cry when I think about the almost overnight turnaround his behavior took with this.

Having just rescued a 10 month old bundle of energy, from a kill shelter, I was very impressed with how well this product worked. Our walks went from pulling/tugging matches to an obedient walk the first time. Every walk since has been her walking by my side. Your product lives up to it's claim.
Puppy does not like wearing

My puppy, 6mos old hates wearing the head harness. Continually tries to rub it off while we are walking. Wished I had ordered it when I stared walking the puppy, maybe it would have been easier.
Holy Cow Is This Really My Dog

I had never had such a pleasure in walking my big girl. She is a majorly anxious ball of energy, and also pretty leash reactive. We've only been using the headcollar for a week or so and even on our first try-out around the block it was like she was a totally different dog - there was loads of positive reinforcement with tons of stinky delicious treats of course, but we feel that she was so focused on this new practice (a job!) that she didn't pay any mind to barking dogs (her biggest Thing right after dogs in view). On our first try on our journey round the block back home we clipped her leash onto her regular flat collar (without taking the headcollar off) and no pulling, a little tug wouldI had never had such a pleasure in walking my big girl. Wow. Just wow, from both a human who's never been so relaxed and on a walk and a dog that I'm sure would say the same if she could! The headcollar itself seems comfy, nice extra padding on her muzzle and it looks pretty rad, it is also fully adjustable and secure! Color me impressed guys, from an owner that thought we'd just have to deal with the pulling, i highly recommend!… more
Best Product Ever

I’ve been using the Halti headcollar for 20 years. Best invention ever. Teaches even the strongest puller you have to walk with you so comfortably! If I could give 50 stars for this product I would! Highly recommend!
It is decent

It works well. I just need to figure out how to keep our dog from chewing it. He has learned how to get the bottom off and chews it while we walk.
Nice Facial Fit

The regular Halti would slide on my dog's face and bother his eyes. This one fits much better and has a slightly padded nose piece. I have a BIG dog and a Halti is much kinder than a choke collar while still offered good control.

I was always hesitant about these but, holy cow! I used to not be able to control my dogs, they're huge and strong and I am fairly small. I've been dragged by them multiple times, down grass, concrete, stairs. I had given up on taking them for runs after they dragged me thirty feet to chase a duck. Now I have complete control of our walks/runs. We pass by people, dogs, cats, etc with NO ISSUES. It's amazing and I regret waiting so long to try this out. My wolfhound mix has a skinny snout and can easily paw the muzzle piece off, but I think that's more of a training issue for her and she just needs to adjust to it. Once we get going she stops messing with it.
