I got this harness in medium and large for my new dog. I love how adjustable they are and that they have side-release buckles on both sides of the chest piece so you don't have to pull the dog's leg through one side like some other kinds I've had before. The ability to adjust the piece between the dog's legs is great so it'll fit deep-chested dogs. And the prominent handle on the back is a nice touch both for extra control and for assisting a dog with mobility or balance issues. The medium harness (with small "All-In-One-Lead") still fits and holds up to my 50-ish pound bully mix, but she needs to gain another 10lbs to be a healthy weight and is almost too big for the chest to fit now. I got a large set while they were on sale and it fits her perfectly on the smallest adjustment, so she'll have room to grow into it more. However, the buckles are difficult to open for me. All of them are very tight and hard to squeeze far enough to release. If you have arthritis or weak hands, you might want to try something else.
I have purchased this harness several times. It is easy to adjust to fit our scottie mix who has a thick neck, big and low tummy, and long body. This harness has a longer strip between the neck and body straps that fit her long body much better than other brands. And she needs a harness because she will get out of a regular collar. I have had all the colors this comes in. Wish there were other colors and prints in this style.
We have rescued 7 dogs over the years. Our current guy is quit strong and pulls when he sees squirrels or certain other dogs. This harness is the best! It holds him without straining his neck area and allows us to keep a firm grip with the built in handle. This is our second one.
