Most Helpful Critical Review

My dog needed to be in a rear foot splint for 12 weeks for a broken toe. The first splint the vet put on him was too small and gave hime some sores on his hock. The problem was keeping the splint dry in the wet Montana weather. I thought this would work and have the added benefit of easy removal to let the foot and the splint dry. Even if I had to order 2 and alternate them. It worked well and allowed my dog to walk without discomfort for a few hours. After that it seemed to hurt him. I think it hit the sores on his hock in the wrong place. Maybe a bigger size and wrapping the foot with padding may have worked but it would have defeated the intended purpose. Nicely made product. I wish I had tried it before he had sores on his hock. … more

Did not work
By dogmom on Aug 16, 2019
This did not work for my dog. It didn't fit great but it was too hard and heavy and it made the situation worse. It could be a good thing if it was just a splint just something light to keep her foot in place with a backing that is not so thick.

They slip right off
By AthenaMom on May 7, 2019
We tried these a few times but they just don’t work to prevent knuckling and they’re heavy, clunky. They fall off her feet, even with padding. Great in concept and well manufactured, but they didn’t work for Athena.

leg splint
By CindyP on Feb 5, 2019
Doesn’t fit and won’t stay on. We even used medical tape to hold it in. Didn’t work. I had high hopes it would help my dog walk again with her knuckling problem. Disappointed.

Dog splint doesn’t fit as advertised
By KC72 on Feb 3, 2019
My vet recommended we order this dog splint for our old pup that sprained his foot. I ordered it according to his size and it’s far too big but I couldn’t determine that until I opened the package which now says I cannot return it for credit and it was too pricey. Very disappointed.

Not quite perfect
By Jennifer on Jan 30, 2019
I wasn't able to use these for my dog because they pinch and rub right at the wrong spot for my dog. I like all of the other items I purchased in my order, but this was the most expensive and very disappointing. I still would recommend Chewy to others.

Does not fit even close
By JayGJ on Jan 5, 2019
I measured once, twice, and then thrice and this still doesn't fit right. It's a really good idea but they really should go back to the engineering. My dog has a wide paw and thick bones. Does not work for short, sturdy dog bodies like Aussies. Also it was tricky to fit, as the straps had memory to them and kept flopping around and sticking to each other as your'e trying to get it on a moving target. And he just kicked it off within one second. If you're desperate You can try it but be aware you have a slim chance that is might fit and stay on.
