Size

To get the most accurate size harness for your furry best friend, measure the girth of their chest, just behind the front legs, with a cloth tape measure. Pull the tape snug, but not tight. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the harness and your pup’s chest.

Chest Girth: To make sure you purchase the right size harness for your canine companion, wrap the tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, right behind the front legs. This is the most important part!

Lower Neck: Harnesses sit lower on the neck than collars, so measure from the lower part of the dog’s neck to make sure it's the right size for your pal.

Size Chest Girth Neck
Small 14 - 16.5 inches 9.5 inches
Medium 16 - 18.5 inches 11 inches
Medium/Large 18 - 20.5 inches 12 inches
Large 20 - 22.5 inches 14 inches
X-Large 22 - 24.5 inches 14 inches

  • Great support for our disabled fur baby

We had another version of this we purchased about 8 years back that had velcro closures at the top. This one is reversed with the velcro on the underside. Additionally there is a loop for a leash or whatever else you might use for walking or lifting.

  • Velcro Harness

My 10 year old pug bailey, has IVDD and can't stand unassisted anymore. We ordered his chair from walking wheels and had been using the harness that came with the chair, but it just came loose a lot and looked uncomfortable for my barrel chested boy. We tried this harness and it fits him much better, the Velcro helps the harness gets and keeps a snug fit, which puts less pressure across his shoulders. He really moves better in this harness and is feel like he's more supported. The only warning I'd give is to make sure you don't leave this harness on your pet and on the carpet. We did this and the Velcro got stuck to the carpet and so poor bailey was stuck too... which was pretty funny since he My 10 year old pug bailey, has IVDD and can't stand unassisted anymore. • Great customer service

I ordered a set of wheels and the vest for my Doxie, as she was unable to walk. The good news is we tried alternative treatments and it worked. So I returned it without using it. But they were great about the return. If I need one again I will reorder from Chewy
