Description

Give your pal the gentle lifting support he needs with the HandicappedPets Front Lift Combo Dog Harness. Designed to support your dog’s forearms, wrists, and elbows, it helps stabilize your pal’s front legs during walking, and provides a much-needed boost to climb up and down steps more comfortably, get up from laying down, or get onto beds, furniture and even the car. It’s perfect for pups with joint discomfort, arthritis, limited mobility, or just recovering from surgery, and also ideal for elderly dogs who may need the occasional help. Thanks to its soft fleece lining and comfy mesh, it’s ultra-comfortable for everyday use, and putting it on is easy―simply slip through front legs and chest, pull up, and adjust the straps to a comfortable height to lift him when he needs a boost. Keeping it clean is also easy by simply washing it in the included mesh bag and then just hanging to dry. Plus, it’s available in different sizes to accommodate dogs of all breeds.

    Just what I needed

    By Red1 on Apr 20, 2020

So pleased with this harness! Very well designed and constructed, and it is very comfortable for the dog as well. I especially like that I don't have to lift the dogs front leg up to slide the harness on. This harness just slips over the dogs head allowing her to stand on all 4's. The sturdy handle allows me to assist the dog going up and down stairs, and on hikes I can double her leash through the handle allowing me to help her over rocky patches without having to bend over to grab hold of her. The typical harness was not only uncomfortable for her while I was trying to help keep her upright, but was also bad on my back, shoulder, and elbows. 48 lbs is a heavy load when you don't have So pleased with this harness! Currently I only have the front harness, but I love the fact that I can build on this down the road with the rear assist harness (and more), if/when her hind legs completely stop cooperating with her. I was questioning whether or not to purchase the "Small" size for her, but after reading the comments on the product that is what I ordered. I have the adjustable clips just a little shy of "as tight as I can get them". I definatley recommend this harness. … more

    Dog Harness

By roscoe on Mar 13, 2020

My 13 year old dog had arthritis and it was very difficult for him to get up on his own. This harness was the perfect solution. My dog weighed 67 pounds and with the harness On I could easily pull him up by the handle. Highly recommend.

    Front Lift Combo Harness

By Vitamin on Jan 23, 2020

I think this will work ok. I'm having trouble adjusting the rear lift on my own - trying to hold Angel up and fitting it properly. The front lift will work well.

    Easy application

By BassetMama on Feb 9, 2020

Must be adjusted. Padding a bit bulky but much more comfortable than trying to use a regular walking harness.

    Awkward Fit

By JedsMom on May 27, 2019

I had high hopes for this harness. My 13 year-old Lab need help navigating the 4 steps in and out of our house, and I wanted something to help me hang on to him in the process. It just doesn’t fit him properly. The size is correct, but it’s just cut wrong. I’d return it, but trying it on him filled the inside of the harness with hair that I’ll never completely get out. I’m back to hanging on to his collar to make sure he doesn’t fall going down the steps.

    Great help

By Susan on Mar 16, 2019

This harness is very well made and sturdy. I have a 12 year old Newfoundland with arthritis. He has trouble getting up because he slips on the wood floors. This has been a Godsend in helping him to get up. Plus it must be comfortable enough because he doesn't seem to mind wearing it all the time.

    Lifesaver!

By Metrogirl on Nov 8, 2018

My 80 pound bestfriend had a stroke, and I had no way to get him down the stairs. This sturdy vest is a lifesaver! I had my vet check the vest to ensure I would not hurt my dog taking him down the stairs, and the vet approved. The vest is easy to snap on and does a great job supporting my dogs chest area which is important when going down stairs. I can also use it to boost him up the stairs. My dogs back legs are weak, so this vest ensures that he will not fall in the stairs. I use one hand to hold on to the stair rail...so I don't fall..and use my other hand to hold the handle on top if the vest. My dog has a huge head and chest so the support this provides is perfect. Well Made and Useful

By LakeDweller on Sep 5, 2018

Our 12 year yellow lab has a fear of going down stairs. Not because he is physically challenged, but because he doesn't have the confidence to get down "normally" (i.e. one step at a time). I saw this item and figured it's way cheaper than therapy (are there dog shrinks?) It works. I hold the handle, taking a little weight off his front legs, and down he goes. The harness is size L and is a bit too large for my 72 lb Bubba.

More than what I expected I would use it for!

By Steven on Aug 18, 2018

I purchased this as part of the full set up for the wheels (to yet be ordered) and not as an aid to help move my dog. It has proven to be useful in adding her stability from time to time, and has proven itself useful for helping her get out of a couple situations. (similar to one of my falls which required the FD to come and set me back on my feet as I couldn't get any leverage oh my own.)

    Front lift combo dog harness

By Brockstar on Oct 26, 2018

Excellent quality - the option for a separate lift for the hind area of the pup is indeed a great option. It does run a little large.
