Description

Give your pal the gentle lifting support he needs with the HandicappedPets Rear Lift Combo Dog Harness. Designed to support your dog’s back, hips, and knees, it helps stabilize your pal’s rear during walking, and provides a much-needed boost to climb up and down steps more comfortably, get up from laying down, or get onto beds, furniture and even the car. It’s perfect for pups with joint discomfort, arthritis, limited mobility, or just recovering from surgery, and also ideal for elderly dogs who may need the occasional help. Thanks to its soft fleece lining and comfy mesh, it’s ultra-comfortable for everyday use, and lets your pal answer the call of nature while wearing it. Putting it on your pal is easy―simply slip through back legs and hips, pull up, and adjust the straps to a comfortable height to lift him when he needs a boost. Keeping it clean is also easy by simply washing it in the included mesh bag and then hanging to dry. Plus, it’s available in different sizes to accommodate dogs of all breeds.

Key Benefits
  • Support your pal’s hips, back, and hind legs without lifting his entire weight or straining your back.
  • Features height-adjustable handles, durable buckle clips, soft fleece lining, and comfy mesh leg ring support.
  • Simply use the height adjustable straps on the back to safely and gently provide your pup with a lifting boost.
  • Perfect for elderly dogs with limited mobility, pups with joint conditions like arthritis, or those recovering from surgeries.
  • Clips easily to any wheelchair and can be combined with the HandicappedPets Front Lift Combo Dog Harness.

Takes some practice to use, but works!

    By on

This rear harness is cumbersome to use and takes a little practice to master on an uncooperative dog, but it's worth the trouble. I recommend distracting your dog with treats while you go through the steps to snap and strap your dog in. The rear harness has to be attached with the d rings to a front harness in order for it to stay on. Using both harnesses, I can get my 85 pound boy down the stairs, so I am grateful for this device! Now he can enjoy the yard and his friends!

    Not what I expected

    By on

This harness fell apart very quickly. The buckles are cheap plastic and broke by day two. The instructions for set up are not detailed enough so it was very complicated to figure out.

    Slips on the Hips

    By on

In my experience, the harness doesn’t work by itself. There is nothing to prevent it from slipping down the back of his haunches. Because my old man dog has since developed weakness in his front legs, I will be getting the other half of the harness, which fits over the front legs and attaches to the back sling; I feel sure then it will work well. By itself, however, the sling doesn’t live up to it’s claim.

    Unfortunately not a good purchase

    By on

We purchased this item to assist our dog with ambulation. He has severe hip dysphasia and has lost most of his hind leg function. We live in a mountainous area and did not want to utilize a wheelchair over safety concerns. Unfortunately, our dog will not walk or move when he is in the harness. We have checked the sizing and fitting and it appears appropriate for him. He just stands there and looks at us and won’t move. It may be due to his age (12) but we can’t seem to get him past this issue. We feel it was worth a try but, unfortunately, it did not work out.

I haven’t used it because I can’t figure it out. Neither could the vet tech.

    Frustrating option

    By on

It took theee educated adults to figure how to get this on my 15 year old lab. That was even after going online to the company website watching video. Not comfortable looking on her. Trying a different kind, brand. Go to your vet see what they have first and get a proper fitting and guidance to prevent a delay in getting your dog the best option

    Best rear harness ever !

    By on

This is amazing! I just recieved it today, it is so easy it stays on no problem. Also I have a male dog, and have had problems with other harnesses blocking his private parts. Which made him pee all over himself, making it a nightmare. But this one I have no problem! Very excited, will attach photos later.
