Has mealworms in it but doesn't say that on the site.
By Rebecca on Dec 12, 2020
I was so happy to order this, as I just wanted a healthy herbal/vegetable/plant-based additive to enhance the winter health of our residents at our chicken rescue. Unfortunately the website does not say it contains mealworms. Mealworms are not unhealthy per se, but act as a laxative in the chickens and make cleanup a bit more unpleasant. Also there are many chicken rescues run by vegans (such as ours) who may not want to order products that involve farming living beings (we understand chickens are omnivores who eat bugs and worms in the outdoors, but we just don't want to buy products with them.) I would love it if they made a version of this product that just had plant/veg proteins and ingredients I was so happy to order this, as I just wanted a healthy herbal/vegetable/plant-based additive to enhance the winter health of our residents at our chicken rescue. Came a bit crushed
By Sarah on Dec 8, 2020
These pellets are very dry and half the bag was dust. I can't really tell if the chickens like it, I stir it in with their treats and hope they enjoy it! I probably wouldn't but it again, there are definitely better treats out there that my chickens enjoy.

Healthy treat!!
By Brenda on Sep 4, 2020
My four chickens love these treats. I think they have helped their digestion. I have anecdotal signs to believe that so I will continue to buy these treats.
