My farrier recommended that I use Venice Turpentine to help my mule's soles. Even though she showed no signs of soreness whatsoever, she had developed a couple of abscesses (I take great care of her feet, so this was a shock), and her soles were chalky . The ground had been consistently wet, and she had been standing in it during the day, along with all of the horses at the boarding barn, so there you go - wet, muddy conditions. I have used this product for about 2 weeks, and it has made a difference! Her soles are hardening, and I no longer see white line issues. I had been using Sav-a-Hoof, but this is better. It's kinda pricey, but it works!
