This bed was very large. It was advertized as an orthopedic bed, but the bed was not very thick. I gave it to a friend with a large dog. I fear after a few nights the bed will be too thin to provide a comfortable rest for the large dog.

My 50 pound, 15-year-old dog thought this bed was super comfy... So comfy that he peed on himself while sleeping on it several times. He hasn't found any of his other beds quite this comfortable, which is too bad since they're all washable and/or waterproof. The cover on this bed is washable, but his pee soaked right into the egg-crate-foam padding inside. The padding for the medium size bed is too big to put in the washing machine, so I had it toss it. It's otherwise a good deal for a comfortable bed for an old dog with arthritis. If you decide to go with this bed, take the cover off and wrap the padding in plastic.
