  • large pieces of grains mixed in; birds can't process the food

    By on

There are a lot of big pieces of grains mixed in this blend. My parakeets would pick them out piece by piece, so a lot of food went to waste. I'm switching them back to 'Dr. Foster and Smith'.

I have tried several types of seed for my finches in an effort to give them a good diet. They really love the Hartz's Small Bird Seed and it gives them everything they need. When l bring their fresh food they are all there.

  • What a waste

    By on

I thought I was getting a great deal on food for my two budgies, but they wouldn't eat the stuff. At the end of a few days there would be a pile an inch thick on the bottom of the cage. I don't think they even ate a quarter of it. I'm back to buying the pet store brand for almost three times as much, but they EAT it. I won't be going with Hartz for my budgies again.

  • Picky Parakeet

    By on

I ordered this food because it seemed like a good deal for the price and this food had a lot of positive ratings so I thought my parakeet would like it but I was wrong he barely ate any of it so it was clear to me that he did not like this food so I won't be buying this food again it was a waste of money.
