KITTIES GO CRAAAAZY FOR IT!!
Before I even took this toy out of the package, my cats were all over the box!! Seriously they were so interested before they even knew what it was lol! I think it's a super adorable toy and my cats went absolutely wild over it! Whatever your cat likes, this toy has! I have 6 cats, and all of them wanted a turn! My one cat goes absolutely NUTS for feathers, which this toy has, there's also a sparkly horn, some faux fur, curly stretchy ribbons, and a crinkly inside! It fits every category. The catnip in it is super strong, like I said my cats knew what it was before I even unpackaged it! Sometimes I have to hide it from them because they just won't chill out haha! Also it's made sturdy and holds up really well, my cats have tried so hard to destroy this thing, and even after rough playing for a whole year, it's still together just fine! It is a bit dingy, but still very impressive, and my cats love it very much! Go with Hartz for kitty toys! They know what they're doing!
Pleasantly Surprised
I wasn't sure about this toy, but based on the other reviews, I bought it. When I received it I again had doubts. I thought maybe it was a little too hard, but I was never so wrong!! This has been a huge hit with ALL my cats. It's funny to see who ends up with it at night as a pillow or bed buddy. Now I'm thinking of ordering another one.
Cats were very curious and then went to town
I have 2 cats and my female Savanah pushed the male tuxedo cat away from the toy so she could have it. Now I need another one. lol
Kitty took to it right away!
She likes it! I love how cute it is and how many cat friendly features there are. For example it has a little bell, a bunch of strings and feathers, and makes a crunchy noise when you squish it. It also feels pretty durable, so we’ll see how long it lasts!
Great toy for your cat
My cats go nuts over these!! This is the 2nd time ordering both. They will last quite awhile. I've had the first two for about 3 years. Due to voracious attacking by my cats, they've both had many "surgeries" to close up the "wounds" on them.....I finally had to throw one of them away just last week. So if you're looking for a "kick" toy for your cat(s) try one or more of these!! You never know, your dog may also find they like them too!! (I don't have a dog, but I know very often dogs love catnip toys)! While my cats DO like catnip, I think it's the Silver Vine that attracts them to this toy!
A Must Have
Miss Prissy didn't really care for any toys but she adored her pink unicorn kicker! It was her baby, she would play and cuddle with it even during her last days when she was so sick. This unicorn brought comfort to her. All of our cats love it and I have since purchased more for the others. A must have for all of them, kitten to senior.
Suddenly her favorite
My cat ignored this for the first few months we owned it, then suddenly became obsessed with it. It's now her favorite wrestling partner and whenever she gets wound up and tries to bunny kick my arms I give her this and she takes out all of her energy on it. I will hold it upright and she'll tackle it and start kicking the heck out of it. She also loves chewing on the horn for whatever reason. Sometimes she just sits next to it or uses it as a nap pillow too. They are definitely friends now! I took off one star because while the body of the unicorn is holding up great, all of the feathers came out very quickly, and I had to watch to make sure she didn't eat one. Now that they're all gone I feel better. The ribbons and bell are doing just fine.
Big enough for an adult cat
This is my cat’s favorite toy—he holds on and kicks with all his might and it holds up great. It’s also big enough for him to actually hold on to—most kickers are too small for him.
Goodness Gracious
I could barely get the packaging off of this unicorn before my cat viciously attacked it. He absolutely loves it, and so far, it's held up to his kitty karate. I'm definitely going to order some more kick toys from Hartz.
toy an old dud
My cat went crazy for the Hartz koi, so I freed it from the string and stick so he could roll on it. I thought the Unicorn kicker would be even more of a thrill. His reaction? Nothing. Since it was destined for the trash, I decided to take it apart. Inside the entire toy, even the horn, I found white stuffing and a crinkly sheet next to the fabric. Then in the center I found a little sheet, about 1 1/2 inches square that had a dried brown substance on it. I gave it to my cat to sniff ... and got no reaction from him whatsoever. I want my money back. How long was this toy sitting on a shelf somewhere losing all potency?.
