The functionality of this brush is not helpful to me. The fur just floats on the surface of the tines. It doesn't 'capture' the fur. And even if it does, there is no fur release button. Maybe that is true for all de-shedding brushes, but it was not helpful to me.
ive tried so many, my cat would hate them for many reasons- size, roughness, shape, she loves this one and so does her sisters. now i have a whole orange tabby sweater in my trash bin and a very itchy face, but she looks so relieved!
I’ve gone through almost every brush on the market for my med-long haired floofy cat. I saw this one and thought it would be great since the metal teeth on most brushes starts to irritate my cat after a few brushes. This one doesn’t get into the undercoat at all. It just barely scratches the surface coat and doesn’t even pull up any loose hair.
All the winter coat slides right off with just a few strokes. (note: do this outside or somewhere you don’t mind tons of hair coming off!)
This product is wonderful! Really does a great job on my cat.
This is a good tool for my feisty stray Lucifer. He is very picky how he is touched but he loves the grooming and scratching under his chin. I would not be able to use my hand under his chin so this works.
It doesn't catch the hair, it just sends it flying all over the room in loose wads. Also my cat hated it.
Works great, but would prefer to wait now until we can brush them outside when it warms up, a lot of hair came out indoors when using it.
Keep in mind that it's winter and shedding is not much of a problem yet - but I have two cats, one short hair, one long hair. The long haired cat is a feral who invited herself into my house. She's full of thick, rock-hard mats. I decided to try this product to see if I can keep the mats away once I get all of the old ones cut out of her coat. She's a work in progress.
You have to push hard in order for it to get any hair out but the bristles are sharp and they scratch my cat. She hates it and I'm gonna have to return it
