hurt my puppy
this somehow ripped through my puppies undercoat which is heafty and scratched her skin. i could see it caused her pain the 2 times i used it. not good for skinner dog breeds.
Great tool!
As Corgis are always shedding and my femaie has very thick layers of fur, this tool gets down in the layers and gets fur out! Kind of like thinning your hair! Very pleased
Not for us
After reading other reviews I don't feel bad saying not for us. Beeper won't let me get a 2nd round in buy works 10 times better when the dog is wet in soapy suds.
This brush os excellent. We have a white German Shepard that sheds terrifically. It really works on her.
Best brush ever
This is the best rush I've ever used on my Australian shepherd. I was amazed how much hair came off of him. Difference of Night and Day as far as shedding throughout the house.
Best Fur Brush Ever
Not only did Chewy deliver my order in under 24 hrs., but when I brushed my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel just a few strokes I was amazed at the amount of hair it removed!!! She is 10 months & has been shedding heavily since the fall & every brush I tried removed hair but I had to brush her daily. This brush works like a combo brush & comb and doesn't cut or rip the hair but removes it like a good brush & comb would. I would recommend this to anyone with a dog or cat that sheds a lot. You won't have to vacuum every day anymore.
Too harsh for short-haired dogs?
My dog, Finley, sheds...a lot...all of the time...in every season. I have tried every brush imaginable and, after reading the review on this one, thought I would give it a try. It seems to be too sharp for really short-haired dogs. The teeth are pointed and they scratch his skin underneath his fur. He doesn't like it at all and won't sit for me using it. The quest for the right shedding tool will continue.

This brush works very well and is easy to remove the fur from the brush after.
Plastic death
This thing is awful! I can hear it scraping through the double coat to skin & not really getting any fur. I read the reviews and do not share the experience. Definitely going back to the furminator...

I decided to try this brush out on our basset hound because she needed something but everything was so expensive I found this one and gave it a try Turns out to be the best brush I have ever used on a short hair dog I definitely would recommend it and I would buy again if needed
