Help keep your home clean and free of urine smells with the Hartz Home Protection Fresh Scent Odor Eliminating Dog Pads. Made with Flash-Dry technology, these pads instantly turn urine into a gel to prevent it from leaking or spreading on your floor or carpet and getting on your furniture. The leak protection even extends to the corners, so all doggy messes are safely contained in the pad. Plus, it has a fast-acting fresh lavender scent for lasting freshness.
Provides leak protection from doggy messes and deodorizes with fresh lavender scent.
Flash-Dry technology quickly turns urine into a gel so it stays safely confined in the pad.
Leak protection from all corners so messes never spread to your floors, carpets or furniture.
Perfect for pups while they’re home alone, house training puppies or elderly canines with incontinence.
Proudly made in the USA and can be used at home, while on the go, and even in the car.
Unfold and place the pad, plastic side up down, in a confined area, away from your dog's bed and food. Place your dog on the pad several times so he can smell the pad and get used to it. While your dog is eliminating on the pad, use a phrase like "go potty" so that eventually you can use the command and your dog will understand what it means. Immediately after the dog eliminates on the pad, reward him with praise and a treat. If your dog has an accident, bring him back to the pad immediately. Continue bringing your dog back to the pad to reinforce that this is the place to go potty. Dispose of soiled pads and replace as needed. To housebreak your dog, gradually begin moving the pad closer to the door and finally outdoors to complete the housebreaking process.
STAY AWAY from this brand of pad!!! I'm sorry if this comes off as a lenghty review, BUT I don't want people going through the headache I do with these pads.
I am fostering a dog that is around 1 year old. She was dumped and was on the loose for a few months in the city limits over the summer/fall last year. Once she was caught, they had to surgically remove her puppy collar that her neck had actually grown around. I was looking to foster a dog for the first time and was asked by one of the shelters if I would be interested in possibly fostering her because people just seemed to want to foster little puppies and she needed someone that had time to foster her and try to get her out of herSTAY AWAY from this brand of pad!!! I am fostering a dog that is around 1 year old. She was dumped and was on the loose for a few months in the city limits over the summer/fall last year. Once she was caught, they had to surgically remove her puppy collar that her neck had actually grown around. I was looking to foster a dog for the first time and was asked by one of the shelters if I would be interested in possibly fostering her because people just seemed to want to foster little puppies and she needed someone that had time to foster her and try to get her out of her shell. (She cowered and shook in corners. She did not like people touching her and only ate when people weren't watching). I decided to bring her into my home along with my two dogs and two cats. The shelter is supposed to supply her puppy pads and food. Mira (short for Miracle) goes through over 100 puppy pads a week with no chance of her getting any better about going outside anytime in the near future. She's TERRIFIED of being hooked up to a leash or anything that has control over her. I can't force her outside because of whatever she's been thru on her own has been a very traumatic experience for her and I don't want the progress she's made regressing. Other than that, she's acting more and more like a puppy everyday now. Anyhow, the shelter seems to LOVE these pads for whatever reason and eventhough I find that they absorb decently, they NEVER stay put and I'm still getting "accidents" on my carpet because of these horrible pads. The edging around the pads seem to have some kind of stickiness to them or a perforation that causes them to stick to the dog or to anyone or anything that steps on the edge. They constantly have to be fixed and even then sometimes when she's done peeing, she'll catch the part that clings on her paw and it will leave a pee trail as she drags it along. I have bought a different brand when I could, but because of this pandemic, money has been very tight so I do have to use what the shelter gives me most of the time. Buyer BEWARE!!… more
It doesn’t do anything it promises.

I’m honestly disappointed in chewy for selling these. They are very thin, the pee goes right through them. Gross. There’s no lavender smell, and I’ve never seen any gelling. Just a watery mess when I pick them up. There’s no odor eliminating either. Guess I shouldn’t have expected any better from Hartz, but I really liked the lavender idea. We’re about half way through the pack and are going to start doubling them up now. The weewee pads are way better at everything.
Good Dog Pads

I bought these dog pads for My Puppies so they could use them when going potty. These Dog Pads definitely work very good because the Urine stayed in the Pads. Also the Dog Pads have a Nice lavender scent which helps when the Urine is in the Dog Pads. I would definitely Buy these Dog Pads again.
Good deal and good product

I was hesitant to buy these but the price was enticing. We have been so pleased with the odor locking! I never smell the dog urine anymore. The pads are small so we use 2 each time but the price was so good it was still a cost savings from our old brand. And the lavender scent isn't strong.
Cumbersome to open but works

I’ve never had leak problems with these. They are spares I keep around the house when our normal training pads (the all kind) are running low. With that said, these are very cumbersome to open and are folded too many times. When you’re busy, it actually matters. No leaks though!

These pads are great! They absorb so much liquid! My puppy started going on them right away, and they definitely help with the smell. I also put one in her kennel at night (folded in half), and she pees on it instead of her blanket! Chewy's prices were the best out of everyone as well! 100% recommend!
Soaks up liquid fast!

I use these pads under my cats' litter boxes because unfortunately, sometimes, they "overshoot" the box. These pads soak up pee very well and they don't leak at all. They soak up liquid immediately and there's no chance for drip down or over soaking. Great product.
Best odor control!

Headline says it ALL! One of my cats won't pee in the box. (He won't cover his poop either! He won't touch litter!) Using other pads MAKES a smell. Using these lavender pads I rarely know it's time to change them! ALSO, pee doesn't run off the pad!
Great pads great value

Was a little skeptical of the pads just cuz it's Hartz and some of the stuff they make her a little cheap I will say the pads are thin but did you keep the urine from spreading everywhere and what I love is it keeps it smelling clean. The pads have odor reducer that works pretty well I would definitely buy again.

These dog wee wee pads are wonderful. Very seldom do we ever have an accident except (if I have to go out and leave the pups with someone else that doesn't pay attention to how often the girls went potty. The wee wee pads are great but as humans we have to do our job of taking care of our animals.
