    New litter

By FosterMom on Jun 20, 2020

A friend recommended this & I was a bit apprehensive at first. Love it! Lightweight without being easily kicked from box, dustfree & does a good job with odors. Just wished it came in more economical big bags.

    I wouldn’t try it again

I know when you try a new product you’re taking a risk, how are you going to find something good if you don’t try it and this product had pretty good reviews. However, don’t buy it. Best litter for small kittens

    By on

I started fostering 4 weeks old kittens and used a different brand paper litter at first (Purina Yesterday's news), on recommendation of a seasoned cat rescue friend. However, the regular paper litter proved a disaster-it is heavy, it smells and the litter box had to be completely emptied 6-8 times a day, every time a kitten went number 2 in it. This new litter is very good at containing pee smell, it clumps into blue colored gel, which is easy to see and remove, and it is easier dealing with #2 business as well. And we use much less of it than of the regular paper litter. Very good product for kittens.

    No more gritty tracking

    By on

In my rescue/foster setting (which currently consists of 12 inside cats), this litter has solved the problem of litter tracking, especially in and around the litter box areas. We use HUGE litter boxes with very high sides (on 3 sides), yet the tracking of all previous litter (scooping and lightweight scooping) was horrible. Walking barefoot was basically impossible because gritty litter was always sticking to human foot bottoms (and bottoms of socks). We tried this litter simply to reduce the tracking. VOILA! Although there are some pieces of this litter around the litter boxes, 95% of it stays in the litter box areas and what is on the floors is minimal and super easy to sweep. And there is zero dust with this litter. ZERO. The cats adjusted to it with no issues whatsoever. The only complaint I have is not related to the litter, but simply due to the fact that I have so many cats using litter boxes...due to constant visits to the litter boxes and much digging, the clumps do not have much of an opportunity to remain intact and our boxes tend to have a urine smell at times. However, if you have a home with a "normal" amount of cats (ie, 1-4), you will have zero issues with this litter and I highly recommend it. Let the wet balls dry completely before scooping them out. I cut our existing scoops to accommodate removing soiled litter....simply snip every other strip/rung in your cheap plastic scoops to allow the clean litter to fall through the larger openings. Also, this litter seems pricey but we are actually spending less than we did with lightweight clumping traditional litter. You'll love this stuff! … more

This kitty litter is the best that we have used. Cats like it and it does a good job of controlling odor.

    RecycledPaper clumping cat litter

    By on

This is the best I’ve found. Turns blue when soiled. Easy to scoop by color and clumps. Some tracking but not like clay. I’m mixing the paper w/pine litter-no smell.

the ONLY litter we use now!

    By on

I was skeptical! But for the price, I figured we'd give it a try. I loaded 1 litter box with the Hartz clumping paper litter and one with our favorite walnut shell litter. All four cats had no trouble transitioning from one to the other. In fact, more often than not, all cats chose the Hartz box. The litter is VERY light and with tendonitis in my hand it makes it very easy to scoop. The clumps are like gel, and the solids get coated just like in regular litter. We are using LESS of this litter than we were the traditional clumping (walnut shell). The only extra was buying a scoop with larger holes to accommodate the larger litter size. I know the UPS man likes it since it is so much lighter I was skeptical! But for the price, I figured we'd give it a try. Better than any other paper litter

    By on

My older kitty kept getting cement toes from regular clay litter so i tried to switch to paper litter. we tried multiple different kinds and it was just gross/smelly and needed to be changed very frequently- more often than the advertised "3 weeks." I tried this litter and its amaze. its paper so it doesnt stick to her toes but i can still scoop the clumps out daily as opposed to changing it every so often with other paper litters. Only downside (and this may just be my kitties) is that it tracks all over the apartment and its pretty noticeable bc theyre white pellets so we have to vacuum frequently.

Multi cat household and we swear by this litter

    By on

Having 3 indoor cats can be a challenge for a number of reasons and litter box 'stink' is at the top of my list. I have tried numerous brands of litter and I actually switched to this brand after my pet store stopped carrying what we thought was 'the best litter ever'. I was wrong because this cat litter is the best! It does not weigh much, masks odors well, and clumps easily. It really does help keep odor down and is hopefully more environmentally conscience than other brands with paper as the star of the show.

only pellet type litter my guys will use

    By on Top 250 Contributor

My cats have never liked pellet type litters. I normally use a grass litter, but i wanted to try this one as its made out of paper. There is no dust to speak of, no fragrance either. The pellets are on the smaller and softer side, so my cats will use it. It clumps very well, i was afraid bits would fall off, nope not a problem. Does not seem to have a bad tracking problem either. And the wet litter is a bit blue, so easy to see. If you try this litter i think you will be pleased.

Low tracking litter.... and when my guys do track it it’s easy to hand vac up because you see it!! Not to mention the fact that it totally clumps and turns blue! LOVE LOVE this litter! I started using this litter because my guys had surgery, and have continued to use!

    Great product

    By on

I love this cat litter, but it is expensive but cleaner than the clay litters. I use it because it is easier for me to handle, lightweight. I would love to receive coupons, there used to be 2.00 off coupons when Walmart carried it, but as usual you like a product and they will pull it and not reorder it. That is why I chose Chewy’s to be able to get this particular litter. Thank you for asking for my review. I love it and recommend it highly especially if you have dust allergies, very low dust.
