I have a very large Maine Coon/Tabby cat that adopted me in Texas and I brought him, now named Baby, back to Arizona. He deserves the best and that is why I only give him Hartz Clumping Paper Litter! I am a very small 79 year old lady that would have a difficult time cleaning any other cat litter. I tried this because its light weight. But I won't buy it again. It just turns into clumps of wet paper. Which would be ok but you scoop, its hard to seperate the clump from the box. The pellets are to big to go through a scoop. Basically you get a litter box full of damp paper thats sticking to everything I tried this because its light weight. But I won't buy it again. Paper Litter
By CatLitter0 on Nov 28, 2020
Pros: Clumps and turns blue quickly. Minimal tracking (couple little pieces upon exit). Cat took to it immediately. Cons: Order control is not the greatest. Tracks. Not flushable.

My cats really like this litter. It is easy to scoop and sweep up. I have 4 cats and I change my litter weekly.

Perfect blend

I’ve finally found a litter that eliminates odor without an overwhelming perfume smell that reminds me of the stuff they sprinkle on vomit in grade school. For me, it’s always been picking the lesser of evils until now. It absorbs the smell so much I have to look to see if my Ozzy has done his business every morning! And it does clump! I was amazed. Plus it’s light as cotton balls. I love it! Now to address tracking... yes you will find the occasional pellet running amuck but I found that this kinda backs off after a while. Not sure if my kitty was playing with them or what but I’d trade the random pellet on the floor for the unbearable stench of perfumed kitty potty’s any day! I’m sold!

Love the fact that its paper but....

The clumps become too big taking a large chunk of the litter with it every time you clean. It also tracks noticeable pieces all over the house. Odor control was good and its paper.....

Not great for multiple cats
By isabel on Jul 15, 2020
We ordered this when looking for a more sustainable cat litter for our 3 cats. While it was great for clumping and odor control, it is SO hard to clean. Really heavy and messy. Will not be buying again.

fixed a HUGE problem
By babybette1 on Jul 4, 2020
I have 2 cats. One of which would pee outside the box on softer surfaces or the cardboard scratching pads. I was beside myself (she has owned me for 15 years!) I was moving in with my fiancé and he wanted to get rid of her knowing she did this. I took her to the vet (which I had done many times over the years to try to fix this issue) The vet and I discussed that there was never feces outside the box, only urine. The vet said to also try to change the litter. So I tried wood litter, walnut litter and paper litter. Neither of my cats liked the wood. In the box with the paper litter I also put the hard paper like liner. I had a theory that my female cat (which was the issue cat) didn’t like the I have 2 cats. Because since I have changed to the clumping paper litter there have been no other issues with her peeing outside the box. There is virtually no smell to this litter. My cats basically stay in one room in the house (their doing not mine) and when people come over they don’t realize there are two cats living in the house. … more

Zero dust, minimal tracking
By DrChris on May 17, 2020
We have used this litter in a multi-cat (ie, 6+) setting and in a 2-3 cat setting. Some people say this is pricey litter; some people say it does not mask urine odor. To stretch the litter, don't scoop the clumps right away, bc as they dry, the paper balls on the exterior will dry and fall away from the central clump. As far as the urine odor, this litter is unscented and if you keep your litter near human traffic, yes it may smell a little immediately after a cat urinates. The trade-off for us is that this litter does not produce dust AT ALL and it does not stick to the fur and pads of long haired or senior cats who sometimes mis-step in the litter box. The price reality is, this litter is no more expensive than a name brand light weight clumping clay-type litter. The tracking is easily swept up and stays within 6' of the litter box, whereas traditional clumping litter finds its way all over the house. We've been using this litter for 3 yrs and will never go back to "regular" clumping litter. Also, we have never had a cat not use the litter box (in a rescue/foster setting) when introduced to this litter. Remember to let the clumps dry for several hours before removing...and leave small clumps of urine alone (ie, 1-2") and they will dry and break apart on their own and those pieces of litter will be re-used. Also, to reduce litter waste, buy a scoop designed for pine pellet litter or remove every other slat in your traditional litter scoop, so the un-used litter will fall through. … more

Clumpy paper litter
By Cherrio on May 6, 2020
I was dissatisfied with this product. The paper stuck to my cat’s fur and ended up all in the carpet
