Keep your dog happy and busy with the Hartz Squeak & Treat Plush Duck Treat Dispensing Dog Toy. It features a squeaker inside and textured wings that make a crinkling sound to make playtime even more exciting. And best of all, you can stuff your pal’s favorite treat inside to get him to chase, tackle and gnaw on it to get to the tastiness. It helps provide much-needed exercise and mental stimulation with the puzzle-like play, and you can also toss it and watch your pal go! And since it’s plush and snuggly, it’s the perfect cuddle buddy for those quiet times.

Key Benefits
  • Plush toy includes loud squeaker inside and crinkly wings to engage your pal in play.
  • Stuffable with your dog’s favorite treat for puzzle-like play that stimulates his mind and beats boredom.
  • Lightweight so you can toss it for on demand fetch, and has textured wings that are great for light tugging.
  • Duck “belly” is made of plastic so it can stand up to eager gnawing to get the treat out.
  • Comes in variable colors for a fun surprise for your pooch, and is soft enough to cuddle with.

Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

About Hartz Play Patterns Dog Toys

Playtime Anytime, Anywhere

Your dog is unique, and so is her play personality. Hartz has done extensive research on dogs’ most common play patterns—Toss and Retrieve, Chew, Tug, and Comfort and Security—each of which satisfy a different need for your furry friend. They make toys to fulfill each of these play needs, with the aim of providing appropriate mental and physical exercise that’s just right for your pup.

A Playing Pup = A Happy Pup

Keeping your paw-tner in crime happy and out of trouble necessitates a bevy of stimulating toys—and Hartz has you covered. With toys to stimulate your dog’s natural instincts, behavior, and traits in appropriate ways, your dog will enjoy playtime to its fullest potential.

What’s Your Pal’s Play Pattern?

According to years of experience and extensive research by canine behavioral experts, Hartz knows that your dog will fall into one of four play patterns. This has allowed them to design toys specifically to fit each of those needs, stimulating your dog’s natural play instincts.

Toss & Retrieve

Promotes bonding between pet paw-rents and their furry friends. Fetch encourages active play and physical exercise.

Chew

Some dogs just live to chew! Appropriate chew toys can help support your dog mentally and emotionally and provide dental benefits, too!

Tug

Collaborative games of tug foster bonding between you and your furry friend, in addition to building strength.

Comfort & Security

Plush toys fulfill dogs’ natural instincts for snuggling, carrying and shaking—as well as providing comfort and calm.

    Just Ducky

By PeanutsGang on Jul 27, 2021

Not only is this adorable, but it has several different play options - squeaky head, crunchy wings, and tough rubber “tummy” you can fill with treats! The opening for treats is small so dogs have to work a bit to get all of them out (this is not bad thing).

    My Puppies Favorite Multi-Use Toy

By jennl on Apr 24, 2021

First off my puppies are chihuahuas. I ended up getting this toy because what I wanted to get was out of stock. It ended up being one of the best toys I got for my litter of chi puppies. They love the crinkle and chew relentlessly on the wings. They love the squeaker. The treat dispenser makes it a favorite when they're in the crate and they always fall asleep on their duckies. It has been a very soothing toy for them when traveling and we never hear a peep out of them. My puppies love this toy 5 stars for sure!

    My puppy loves this!

By Jackie on May 17, 2021

This Hartz treat duck dispenser was a wise choice! My 6 month old mini poodle loves it! The opening for is big enough for her kibble. She looks forward to this duck everyday. . She even plays with it when treats are gone. Both my puppy and my daughter's puppy love this!

    Keeps Dog Entertained

    By EFJ88 on Jan 30, 2021

Our 20-lb daschund-beagle mix loves this toy. Each day after his meal he goes to it and nudges it until I put some treats in it, then spends about 20 minutes flipping it until all the treats are out. (Often he won’t eat the treats at all unless I put them in the toy, which is how I know he enjoys the game!) Then he chews on it until he falls asleep. It’s very cute.

    Not up to par!

By txlady on Dec 26, 2020

This toy is very hard to fill and the dispenser is made of hard plastic that even the mini goldendoodle (nor I) could empty. The squeaker is also hard to push. My little rescue Yorkie wanted to play with it but quickly lost interest. I would not recommend it and wish I had gotten another Kong ball instead.

    Good Concept But Bad Quality

By Alyssa on Nov 22, 2020

I'd love to see a nicer quality toy in this same concept. My dog really presefs soft toys to hard rubber and there aren't that many soft treat toys. He loved this toy but quickly destroyed it, and he is not even a strong chewer. For reference his frisko stuffed toys have stayed relatively in-tact for months, this thing is half way to trash in under a week. He pulled the crinkly plastic out of the wings easily, which could be a hazard for dogs that eat things that aren't food (luckily my pooch is not one of those dogs). If anyone knows of a toy like this that's made of better materials, please let me know!

    Satisfyingly occupied dog

By Koda on Dec 2, 2020

My dog usually figures out toys with treats pretty fast, but treats are actually hard to get out of this toy so it takes her ages and she is happily frustrated the whole time (just make sure you don't put treats that are too big in)

    My puppy's favorite toy

By PitPupBea on Nov 12, 2020

Our blind puppy loves the treat dispenser best but also has fun with the sounds her ducky makes. It's the only thing she wants to take outside.

    Good for Tough Chewers

    By RingWorm on Jun 26, 2020 top500Contributor

So my dogs are BOTH big chewers and LOVE to destroy toys. This one has held up to 5+ hours of play. I hid treats inside and it took them 3 hours to get all of them out. Plus the squeaker has still held up.
