Description

Tell uninvited to guests to “bug off” with the Hartz UltraGuard Flea & Tick Collar for Cats. A convenient alternative to topical flea applications, this collar starts working fast to kill and repel fleas and ticks. It also prevents flea eggs from hatching, which stops the flea cycle by preventing re-infestation. And as an added bonus, the breakaway design easily comes off in the event your cat gets caught on something, so you never have to worry about him choking or getting trapped. The best part? It works for seven long months, even if it gets wet, so you can go worry-free for more than half a year.

How it works

The collar will begin to kill fleas, ticks and flea eggs and larvae immediately. Its full protection against harder to kill ticks will be built up within a few days after being placed on the pet. For continuous flea and tick protection under normal conditions replace the collar every seven months. Under conditions where pets are exposed to severe flea and tick infestations, it may be necessary to replace the collar more frequently. Wetting will not impair the collar's effectiveness or the pet's protection. If the pet goes swimming or is out in the rain it is not necessary to remove the collar. The collar may be worn with a regular collar.

  • Flea help!

    By on

For years Advantage worked for my seven cats, just the last year it stopped working-even the new Advantage from the vet.It would sort of work for about 2 weeks. For the price I needed it to work for a month like it said it would. So I tried Frontline because it was made of a different chemical, that only worked for a couple of weeks.I kept spending the money every month hoping for a different result. So now I'm trying these flea collars,if they work longer than 2 weeks I will be happy.BTW Adams spray for cats is realy good,I spray the whole house and it kills everything!Ants,Spiders, fleas, and its safe for the kittys to be around.

I don’t understand but when i got the box for this collar, it looked like someone used it as their punching bag. I don’t appreciate getting a package like that. I hope the collar still works the same. Disappointing for sure.

  • Seems to have worked

We still had small signs of fleas on our cat after doing everything in our power to rid of them. I got this collar as extra protection- since she's been wearing it, we haven't found anymore signs of fleas.

  • works great

this has been a bad year for fleas outside. We found that every time I went to the trash dumpster , I picked up fleas on the bottom of my clothes. We had to start spraying ourselves with Off for fleas and Bomb our house since they were obviously in the house. You can't expect the cats to get healthy if we can't get the house under control. We then have three cats that got the collar and it seems everything is slowly coming back to normal.

  • Just Purrrrfect

This collar is easy to handle and instructions were simple to read. Easy to adjust as needed. A very soft sent. This Flea and Tick collar is soft and flexable not stiff like most other collars. My cat wears it comfortably.

  • Waste of money

    By on

The fleas got worse once I put them on my 4 indoor cats. They gathered in clusters under and around the collars. I used a flea comb last night and OMG! The amount of fleas I got off of them was disturbing! Yes, the fleas in my area are AWFUL and it's fighting an uphill battle, as I have dogs, too. But, the collars didn't kill the fleas at all. The only nice thing about them is the smell and they stayed on the cats just fine.

  • Immediate relief

    By on

My sneaky cats got out and now we have some fleas. Poor kitties. They were scratching nonstop. I put these collars on and they are resting now. The results were immediate. Not sure of the long term effects. Still need to upkeep the house, I'm sure. But I'm happy these collars worked so fast because a flea bath seemed ineffective.
