This digital thermometer is comprised of two basic components: the sensor and the display. NO BATTERY

WELL THAT WAS A LIE WHEN THEY SAID A BATTERY COME WITH IT HOPEFULLY WHEN I DO IT WILL LAST LONG BECAUSE I'VE BEEN SEEING ALOT OF BAD REVIEWS ON THIS.

It works in telling the temperature, but the suction cups were totally junk. Right from the start they wouldn't hold to the aquarium. I cleaned the glass with everything I could think of to make sure the glass was clean but the thermometer kept falling off. I finally had to tape it to the side. I won't but this again.

Don't waste your money

This product initially read low compared to a calibrated mercury thermometer. Over time the reading drifted lower and lower. Replacing the battery did not help. This product is worthless.

I’ve always used the stick on glass thermometer that isn’t really very accurate. The glass ones that stick to the inside of the glass usually end up floating around the tank. I was very happy to come across this product that is both accurate and isn’t an eyesore in the tank. I put the one end inside my hob and the other end near the back corner of the tank and works great. I bought 2 for both my tanks. Very highly recommended.

Ordered 2 but can only use 1. One of the thermometers has a battery that was corroded. So now to be able to use it I’ll have to purchase another battery.
