i understand it’s a relatively cheap thermometer, but it didn’t work no matter what i tried AND i bought new batteries just in case and it still didn’t work
This is so much better than the floating cheapo thermometers. I think it’s accurate as it says the same temp as I set the Fluval heater to.
Chewy should make very clear when they sell products that contain harmful chemicals. Or, not sell them? Item contains chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive harm.
I bought two of these, as I have a few prior, and needed some extras... all are different by .3-.5 degrees off higher or lower... no big deal, but I wouldn't rely on a single unit without verifying accuracy...
It came with no battery and did not say what kind of battery it uses.
I bought two of these thermometers for 2 of my fish tanks and they are both 2 degrees off based on my heater's temp display and my temp gun. The thermometers are consistent, but not accurate. I still have them on my tanks and I like that it's in your face and easy to see, but I just know to read it 2 degrees lower than what it says
I've had this for 8 months now. It is consistently about 2.2 degrees F above the actual temperature according to two other thermometers that I have. Knowing that, it works for its purpose. The suction cup gave out completely after the first hour of use and has never worked since. I'd recommend this for ease of use but you'll need another thermometer for accuracy.
So i had my heater set on 86 in the water and it with light on it read it to be around 92/94 - With the light off it read to 91= SO this helps me gauge where the heater needs to be so I would not harm my pet.
I use these thermometers in my aquariums and when I'm changing the water in my tanks. The batteries last a long time and you can get readings in Centigrade and Fahrenheit.
I love the Temperature gauge I can easily look at it anise the temperature.
