  • A sad let down

    By on

When I put this together, I was thrilled to see the openings were large enough for even my largest cat to run though. Then it collapsed. There is only one square cube that has ties on it, so you can only tie one side (the smaller, blue cube) to tie it onto the tunnel. Every time I went to set it up again, the minute even on small kitten put the slightest touch on the tunnel, it collapsed. The blue cube doesn't hold up well either. It's too bad that the tunnels that hold up better are smaller around so the big cats can't run though it.

  • My kitten is enthralled.

My kitten is having a field day with this. So much of a field day he’s jumping on top and collapsing it so I’m constantly setting it back up for him! If it can withstand my Tobias I am confident this will last us a long time.

  • Collapsible indeed!

If not fully stretched out, it collapses in multiple ways! The lining collapses inside obstructing the pathway for your cat. The entire tunnel collapses like a slinky. I had been wanting this for several months. I started with a single cube which both me and my cat really liked! However, the tunnel(s) are much larger than needed--especially in diameter. They take up a lot of space and if the space gets infringed upon, then the tunnel(s) collapse. I have two tunnels and 3 cubes. The tunnels remind me of a parachute in how the one-piece yellow lining inside falls in. Another reviewer was tempted to leave a 2 star review. I am leaving a 2 star one because not only are there design flaws but the description does not adequately describe the tunnels. The saggy lining should be mentioned. It also should be clear that the string tabs only loosely connect the cubes and in no way attach the tunnel to the cube. One really needs a lot of space to have even a single tunnel set up properly. I am disappointed. I wish I ordered this from Chewy instead of HDP so I could easily return them. … more

  • Cats enjoy it, but could use design improvements

At first when I got this tunnel, I was tempted to leave a 2-star review. The black rings around the tunnel are each separate instead of connected in a spiral shape, so they don't stretch and hold the tunnel open, so it easily collapses on itself. The tunnel end fits easily enough into the included cubes, but only one end of the tunnel has strings to tie with the strings on the cube opening, so I had to cut slits in the other side of the tunnel in order to tie down the other end to keep the other cube in place. The tunnel also has a loose inner lining that makes it impossible for the cats to see from one end to the other, so they weren't really using the tunnel at first because they didn't At first when I got this tunnel, I was tempted to leave a 2-star review. The tunnel also has a loose inner lining that makes it impossible for the cats to see from one end to the other, so they weren't really using the tunnel at first because they didn't realize it was a tunnel. However, over the past week they've realized they can in fact run/crawl through it, and the extra lining keeps the tunnel from being easily ripped as they play inside. Also, they have fun trying to navigate the cubes and relaxing near the ends of the tunnel, when the cubes are facing with the openings on the sides instead of up and down. Overall, the tunnel doesn't hold up (literally), but it's a different experience for my cats and sturdier than the Jackson Galaxy tunnels. (No wires poking out!) When it comes time to replace this, I think I'll keep the cubes if possible, but I might order a different tunnel that stays open. … more

  • Pop pop collapse

My cats love this and I would too, if it stayed open. The tunnel closes and the cubes collapse all day long. The tunnel is not stiff enough to stay open. This item was expensive and it certainly wasn’t worth it even if it were free. The smaller ones that I have purchased are much better as they don’t collapse. I would not recommend this product.

My kitten LOVES this tube and I haven't even added the cubes onto it yet!! I'm waiting until she seems a little bored with just the tube then I'll add the cubes.

  • good and bad

The cubes are definitely not the same as the picture, and the tunnel only ties to one of the cubes, the tunnel also collapses very easily. That said, I have the cubes each in separate rooms and he lays in them and plays in them constantly, and I take the tunnel out for a few hours a day only and he has a blast playing with it. So overall I'm not disappointed by the product, it is just not accurately depicted, and falsely described.

  • Its a fun toy

Bigger than I thought it would be, the cats have fun running through the tunnel, jumping in and out of the cubes, if one turns just right were the hole is at the top the male cat likes to sit and pop his head up and out like a prairie dog - really funny. My only issues are the cubes can tip towards the tunnel and block it and since the inner liner is loose it can look like no way out to the cat.

  • Made for Cats, But Dog Approved :P

I got this for my small dog so that she can play while I'm working at home. I wasn't sure she'd even like it, but she was very excited when I opened the box and pulled the three pieces out. The tube has two layers, I'm guessing for durability, and ties on to the square ends. I like that I can detach the three pieces for easy storage and just for three items my dog can play in separately. She seems to like the crinkly sound the tube makes and she loves running through it. Not a complaint, just an observation: she doesn't play with this alone. We have to engage with her or else she just leaves it alone. I think if she had a dog or cat playmate that might be different. • Collapses Too Much, Too Often

    By on

This tunnel collapses within seconds of my cats beginning to play. The tunnel's rings are independent of each other giving no support for the tunnel to remain open once play begins. The tunnel attaches loosely with ties to only one cube. The picture looks great, the actual product is a disappointment.
