    Fussy eater loves it!

    By on

We have three kitty boys two will eat anything, but the one is very, very picky and I mean picky. We try to feed them the best food, so as other parents know it can be challenging. Healthy food most of the time is expensive. At first I tried the Tuna and Prawns recipe on the very picky boy and he loved it. My mistake was to try the Chicken and Tuna recipe. He just went absolutely nuts over this favor. I give him the whole can and he wants more, the bowl is licked so clean I could put it back in the cabinet without washing it! But I don't of course. Now he won't eat the Tuna and Prawns thats how picky he is, but at least the other two love it.

    Evening Tide's Superior Replacement

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

Just when you thought you would never get over the loss, you have come to the right place: Health Ext. Great and selective food. It might be one of those sleeper brands that's a little secret. I wandered "in" and it's been a super find that has rescued me from a shrinking number of "acceptable" foods left to my cats. Even more preferred over Evening Tide is this sublime and new (to us) Chicken & Tuna recipe! It has the exact same hydrating, "smudgeable" consistency of Evening Tide minus the oily appearance. It's licked, and re-licked, down to the last particle, and two full cans have been consumed in one sitting - a first-time occurrence! It's licked, and re-licked, down to the last particle, and two full cans have been consumed in one sitting - a first-time occurrence! The bulk of recipes under this label (with the exception of the one with prawns that is rich and prone to causing diarrhea) are not firm or dry, begging the addition (and added expense) of broth. The cats' vet contends that cats get enough fluid from moisturizing food even if they don't drink water. Mine do, but knowing this is still a relief. This flavor even tops the Chicken & Duck recipe that seemed untoppable. Now I'm eager to rate the Chicken & Salmon one. … more

    Fussy Eater

    By on

I have two cats, one who eats anything and one who does not! 'Mr. Fussy' liked this the first time I bought a single can, so I got a case from Chewy. Now he sticks his nose up at it. Fortunately, 'Mr. Hoover' will eat it.

    Cats Don't like it

    By on

I have several cats and almost none of them care for this flavor. Usually at least one will like a new kind I try, but nope.

They really weren't crazy about this one.

Chicken and tuna what could be better, you would think! Great ingredients wanted to give it a try, I thought for sure they would agree with me but no! Worth a try but it didn't work for us, will keep trying!

    They eat it

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

I purchased Health Extension brand because of the limited ingredients listed and that the ingredient list did NOT list Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate which I found was causing a rash on one of my cats, and also causing that same cat to vomit, which was something that was rare for her. Both cats eat this food but not with the same "gusto" that they had been eating the brand I purchased before. When I say, "they eat it", anyone that has cats knows what that means, and I will continue to serve this brand. I do serve Dr. Gary's Best Breed dry cat food along with the Health Extension brand and feel they are getting all the nutrients they need that way.
