Quality Low Fat/Low Calorie Dry Food

    By 5DogReview on Nov 14, 2020

I bought this for my dog that has Pancreatitis because I wanted a diet that was low fat and still had quality ingredients. First off, I like the fact that the maximum fat percentage is listed in the back of the bag. I'm not too fond of the Dried Beet Pulp and Brewers Dried Yeast ingredients but considering I bought this for my dog that has Pancreatitis because I wanted a diet that was low fat and still had quality ingredients. First off, I like the fact that the maximum fat percentage is listed in the back of the bag. I'm not too fond of the Dried Beet Pulp and Brewers Dried Yeast ingredients but considering neither is one of the top 5 ingredients I'm content. It does have interesting ingredients to help with weight loss and improve gut health so both a plus for my pancreatic dog needing to lose weight. Yes, my dog has lost weight. Overall, the ingredients are better than any low fat/low calorie dog food out there. Pretty much every one of them have excessive carbohydrates and create excessive stool volume. Excessive carbs and Pancreatitis don't mix but the carbs in this diet are quality so it did not cause any stomach issues and no excessive stool volume. I freaked out and laughed when I saw the kibble size. This looks like bird food. All five dogs still liked the taste. The size is not ideal for dogs that inhale their food but great for dogs that don't have many teeth like one of mine. None have ever tried grains and this has quality grains. This diet is pea free so there's no need to worry about splitting of pea-byproducts (pea protein, pea flour, pea fiber) which increases the volume of peas present. One of my dogs is allergic to potatoes and another has yeast infection/food allergies. The one allergic to potatoes did fine with it however the one with yeast infection/allergies did not due to the chicken, grains, Brewer's Yeast, and bovine colostrum (milk allergy). … more

The problem is not the food, it is the company

By Sucks on May 2, 2020

I don’t care if there’s a pandemic all the other dog food delivery companies are running only a day late I have never seen anything sit for over a week with no communication, yet they were quick to grab my money and charge it on my card
