As a breeder, I am always researching and trying new foods for my dogs. Heath Extension Original is a great All Life Stages food that I can feed to growing puppies to my senior dogs. I always include Heath Extension Original in my food rotation and add joint support to my ADULT dogs dish. Please note, the online analysis is incorrect on all sites that sell this food. The original does NOT contain glucosamine/chondroitin as listed. Zoom in on the bag and you will see the bag is labeled correctly.
Love Food-dissatisfied delivery
I have purchased repeatedly by *autoship* for my dogs. They thrive on this brand & blend. Typically delivery is seamless - Idn have to lug heavy bag in&out of vehicle; it arrives on my doorstep. However, this delivery the box enclosing the bag of food *obviously heavy* was roughly handled during shipping so when i opened the box ..the food was all inside the box with seams of bag split open on one side. Suggest in future maybe box is marked somehow 'don't drop'. Clearly it's heavy but still has to be transported gingerly. Thanks Chewy!
Unknown Surprise
When I adopted a six year old tricolor Corgi from a pet rescue she came with some of the food they were feeding her. She liked the food and she was healthy with a beautiful coat so I decided to give HEALTH EXTENSION a try. I was surprised by the quality ingredients of the food; real chicken and fish, healthy grains and oils. My Tootsie loves it and I do too.
Good food, but my Senior dog does not fancy it?
I was hoping and yet confused! I feed the same brand, lil bits to my Chihuahua and my bigger dog, Simba, trys to steal his uneaten food and so I bought this for bigger dog's and he just doesn't take to it. He is 14 and only food now he eats right up us Fresh Pets, (the log form). I also want a kibble he will eat as a second meal. Been waiting to try the Royal Canin, Medium, over 10+ years and is still out of stock. Can't believe he is starting to get picky like a cat. Ugh!. I still recommend this food, but like anything, not every pet likes the same.
Dog Loves it
I purchased a small bag of Health Extension just to see if my dog would like it. She loved it!. It was easy to transition to the new food and I still mix it with her original food. She noses thru the bowl to eat this first. No runny poop. I just bought a large bag. Every dog is different but my dog (border collie mix) loves the taste and very digestible.

Out of product too often didn't want chicken and rice but took because out of regular food
every bag of the same order has different kibbles!
So I’ve ordered the same bags and it’s always been generally good. But in the past few months the dry food has different smells and coloring of the kibbles then the previous bag. We order the same bag and flavor/size bag each order so why is the food, flavor /color of the kibble different?! This caused 4 days worth of upset belly’s and accidents. The only cure was white rice and pumpkin to reset their system. Mind you we’ve been ordering this bag for almost a year and the last 4 months this brand has been producing different colors/flavors/smells for the Same bag/style advertised. So they shouldn’t change bc it’s hurting their belly’s and it’s a waste if money

Prob a good food but not for sensitive stomachs
I bought this food and while my young dog has not had an issue, my older dog has been sick with mucosy explosive Diarrhea. I did the mixing the food for a week and even with a little of this food mixed in she has the problem. Shame too for such an expensive food to cause digestive problems. Now i have to go back to Fromm that she does well on.
They both love it!!
My 2 boy’s are very picky about vitamins. I’ve never found a joint chew that they’ve liked until this one! They love it! And beg for their 3 per day! I’m getting ready to reorder.
