    Almost Perfect, But...

By KameleonsFavs on Jan 27, 2021

I wish I could give this 5 stars, but my chickens do not care for the pellets in this feed. They eat other brands of pelleted feed, but not this kind for some reason. They eat all the other ingredients though and seem to love them. I don't know what it is about the pellets that they dislike. So no 5 stars because the price is too high when I consider the wasted pellets.

    Whole and Hearty

By ninjadawn on Feb 8, 2021

This feed looks really good and my duck is finally trying feed again, she only wants to eat peas so I am glad she is trying to eat a bit more feed as I think she goes around hungry all day. The chicken seems to like it to. I would recommend this product

    Perfect Replacement

By ChickenMomma on Jan 21, 2021

I used to order the Kalmbach Henhouse Reserve because it’s an incredible mix for laying hens but then the price went up quite a bit (it went up everywhere). I found this brand and decided to try it out and it’s a perfect replacement for a lower price. Can hardly tell the difference and my chickens love it.

    Too Big for My Birds?

By MrsBee on Nov 2, 2020

When I opened this bag up for my gals, they went nuts-it smelled so good and was full of bright, inviting bits with no dust. Unfortunately, that's where the enthusiasm ended. They dig this feed out of the feeder and leave it in piles on the ground - an open invitation for rodents. I have begun soaking it overnight for them, and then they are able to devour it! So I give it 5 stars for flavor and quality, but it loses 2 stars because of the extra work involved & waste. The grains are MUCH bigger than the product image shows. Maybe for ducks or larger fowl? I will have to switch back to my other brand...

    The Name Says It All

By MissouriDogMom on Oct 11, 2020

This is a "whole and hearty" food for your chickens, but it smells so good, you might want to make yourself a breakfast cereal out of it. It's a tad pricey, but I haven't seen anything similar in my local farm store. I get it once in awhile for a special treat for my four ladies and one big boy, and they really enjoy it. Five Big Gold Stars!

    Chickens eat it

By Stella on Dec 4, 2020

Don't know if its good but the chickens eat it. Well at least all the doves and birds that fly into the chicken coop/run do. Just wish it did not have corn in it.

    Clean, wholesome, great feed.

By WildWoolyFarm on Aug 17, 2020

Hi, here's the review for the Whole & Hearty If you're looking for a clean, wholesome, good-smelling feed that supports healthy eggs and chickens, this is it. I keep chicken feed in the house since we're in bear country, and this smells so good it makes me hungry. It's not dusty at all. The formula is like something most of us would do if we had time and energy to mix it ourselves. The chickens love it. Mine have only been laying a couple of weeks, but they've been on this feed about three weeks. The first eggs are great. Very hard shells, beautiful shell gloss and golden/orange yolks. Delicious eggs and no broken yolks in the pan. The only con is it's a little spendy, but not really Hi, here's the review for the Whole & Hearty If you're looking for a clean, wholesome, good-smelling feed that supports healthy eggs and chickens, this is it. I had a question about calcium levels for roosters and it was answered carefully and thoroughly. … more

By Bean on Nov 24, 2020

This was the best feed we have ever purchased. The chickens had grown tired of pellets and scratch. Loaded with all kinds of seeds and goodies

    Devours every bite

By Flightguy on Oct 5, 2020

Just adopted some backyard hens and we got two bags of food to test out. They CLEARLY appreciate this one over the other pellet style food. I dump it out and they stop what they’re doing to chow down. Highly recommended. We have Long Island reds.

    Love love love!!

By Mazey on Sep 17, 2020

My chickens now refuse all other feed. They absolutely love this and when they see me opening a new bag that get very vocal and swarm me when I pour it out. Our eggs have good color with firm shells and the chickens plumage all look better too.
