Silence is golden, but tougher would be diamond
The silent squeaker is a game changer. Yes, you can still hear the physical squeaker being chewed (like a muffled water bottle pop when it's squeezed) - but that's minimal. Our dog loves this, and it's her co-favorite toy with the zippy paws fox. This toy is always with our dog. 24x7. This is the second one we've bought, after she destroyed the first one after about 5-6 months. Pretty good for a destructo dog. I will say, there are two things that could improve this: 1. Get rid of the fiber fill. It's not needed 2. Double sew the head and arms into the body. Our doggie decapitated the first one, and dug out the stuffing. I sewed the head back on, but she ultimately got it off again. This new one has the same issue. The head is coming off after a few weeks. I've sewn it back on with fishing line this time, so we'll see. If your dog is an aggressive chewer and tug player, maybe reinforce the seams before use. Overall, a great toy ... Just could be a tad more durable.
Not chew proof
We had this out for 5 min. Great there is no squeak but our did tore an ear and antler off in 5 min flat. Now our older dog is working on the squeaker
Great Idea, Dreadful Execution
Desperately wanted this to be a success, but alas. The dogs were definitely intrigued and heard something that I couldn't hear, but after less than 2 mins, the silent squeaker inside was destroyed, and they completely lost interest.

Gone in less than an hour
I chose this toy because it said chew guard for my dog. He likes to pacify himself by sucking on his paw or bed and I thought he could use this. But in less than an hour the ears were chewed off and swallowed, and the squeaker out. I had to toss it away so he doesn’t get sick.
Cute but not durable
I purchased this as it was recommended by a chewy employee as something that was durable. Definitely not the case. My golden retriever destroyed this in minutes. But it was cute
Not as well made
We have one from 4 years ago - nose is chewed out, ears, arms and tail -all missing. It was time to get another. Within the first few hours, I noticed the “air pocket” inside was pushed in. My dog did not puncture the outside of the fur so I’m not sure what happened. For the price (which did go up after I put it on my one time auto ship basket) I wouldn’t purchase it again. It was clearly not made like the old one. Very disappointed.
Survived...so far
Unlike its platypus cousin, this giraffe is actually holding up again my dog's teeth. He still loves the silent squeaker, he's just finding it far more challenging to tear this one apart, which I appreciate. If you're looking for a silent squeaker toy, try this one.
