A treat that doesn't hurt my complete feed!
By Kathryn on Oct 12, 2020
My chickens are more than just egg layers, they are part of my family. Just like I enjoy treating my cats and dogs, I do like to treat my feather flock! However, in doing research on good options, I was having a hard time finding a supplement that wouldn't negatively impact the overall complete feed plan I had. On top of that, I wanted to ensure the feed was non-GMO, organic, and soy-free so that not only it was healthy for my flock, ut that the eggs were even healthier for me and my family. Enter Scratch Grains! It serves its purpose very well and keeps my flock healthy, happy, and complete. I cannot reccomend this product with more excitment. We will be a HenUp Flock! For context: I live in a city and have 10 layers (city math won't allow me to do have more than 10 hens). Ever since switching them over to Hen Up, the eggshells have been even stronger (I didn't think that was possible ?!?) and my family members with soy sensitivity were able to eat the eggs my hens produced without any issue. I grew up on a farm prior to moving into the city and have raised chickens for most of childhood and now a good portion of my adult life. … more

Too much filler which my chickens won't eat.
By CherryGal on Oct 4, 2020
Virtually 1/3 of the volume is made up of chick peas (or something large and round) which my chickens don't eat. It is accumulating on the ground and not even the squirrels, which usually do a good job of cleanup, will touch it. Also, it arrived days later than promised.

The ladies approve!

For some reason my 18wk old gals don’t like mealworms. Not sure why. They go nuts for this stuff though. They always come when I call now!
