  • They Won't Touch Pellets

    By on

My 3 girls have been fed crumbles their whole life. I bought this thinking they might like it better than the stuff I've been getting at the feed store. It certainly looks better! But nope, they follow me around the yard begging for treats when their bowls are still full of feed. I ended up mixing the 3 small bags of this in with a big bag of feed store crumbles. They eat it a little better now, just picking around the large pellets.

  • Our girls love it!

Our hens love this food. It's full of organic, non-GMO goodness. Their feathers look healthy and they give us big, orange yolked eggs.

  • Lots of grain

    By on

My girls were no too thrilled with this product. It looked good to me, but... They like it when I throw grains to them but I find that they are picking out the pellets and leaving the grain behind in the feeder. Not sure why. I think I'll stick to layer pellets next time.

  • Doesn’t have the percentage

    By on

Doesn’t have the percentage amount of how much protein or calcium in the feed, so for that I do not plan to feed again as I like to know exactly what my animals are getting. Would prefer chewy carry nutrena all flock personally

  • Great for treat food

    By on

This is great for a treat food but has a lot of corn in it. I don’t feed my girls a lot of corn but this is nice as a treat for them. Not as cost effective as the chicken feed from the feed store.

  • Hens love it

    By on

I purchased this for the pricing - very reasonable. I thought the hens would like the mix of pellets and 'treat' with the scratch grains. They love it and even the old hens started laying again. Good product!

  • Chickens won't touch it

    By on

I'm new to raising chickens and trying different things. This was not a hit, and when I mixed it with Scratch, they pick out the seeds and leave this over. I have three hens and so far, not one egg.

  • Chickens dont care for it too much

    By on

The pieces seem too big for the girls so they just eat around it and go for the scratch food that i add to the layer blend. Needs to be smaller granules.
