Description

Teaching your dog to sit, stay and heel at your command is easier with the Ultra-Plus Stainless Training Collar with Latch from Herm Springer. This safe and convenient training tool is designed to let dogs know when it’s time to heel. It's made with blunt prongs that help to guide your dog without hurting him. This works because the patented center plate mimics the way a mother uses her mouth to correct her puppies' behavior—the prongs gently pinch the back of his neck, signaling he should stop and listen. It’s great for taking large dogs or tough pullers on a walk, protecting you and your best bud from getting into a dangerous situation. Replacement links are available if you need to create a more custom fit.

Key Benefits
  • Designed to help you train your dog—especially commands like heel, sit and stay.
  • Features a quick-release snap that helps both you and your pup feel secure.
  • Gently pinches your dog's neck, mimicking the pinch a mother dog gives her puppies.
  • Great for walking strong pullers and large dogs, or during obedience training.
  • Replacement links are available to increase collar size.

    Something finally worked!!!!!

    By on Top 25 Contributor

I put this on Harlee (all the while telling her how pretty she was with her pretty necklace lol) and as soon as we took our first step I noticed a difference. She no longer makes me fall by pulling me (my balance sucks). She walks touching my leg most of the time and when I stop, so does she. I might get the little caps because she doesn't need the full pinch I don't think. If that makes sense.

    Disappointed!

    By on

recieved the training collar several days ago. Started training immediately after some guidance from an experienced user. Loved it and my dog was a completey different dog. However, the quick release latch would not open easily after a few days. It is very difficult to open now. It is not a week using it yet!

    Prong Collar

    By on

My blue healer can be quite the puller. He is so much better when he walks while wearing this collar; he doesn’t pull and make the gagging sound as he often does with other collars. For an older pet parent this is a safety issue for both the dog and the owner.

    Great collar!

    By on

We have two 1 year old dobies. Walks with them were IMPOSSIBLE before we bought the prong collars. It didn't take them long to stop pulling and going crazy!

Easy Clip Her Sprenger Prong Collar

    By on

This is much easier to clip with the fastener rather than having to pinch the prongs together. Love this design.

    Great collar

    By on

I very recently purchased the Herm Sprenger 3.0 but was having trouble keeping it where I needed it on my dog's neck so I purchased this smaller link and it's perfect. Not only that but I have very weak hands and was s till able to add a link to this one. And as I've read it DOES seem to even work better for "communication" with the smaller links...

    For obedience classes

    By on

My dog is starting group classes. This is the collar we were asked to order. The trainer used it in a private lesson and my dog learned to ignore other dogs after 10 min. The way you snap the leash sends a gentle message to your dog to listen to you. I was told to take it off when you are home

    quality but not safety

    By on

Satisfied with the quality, but in order for this collar to be safe, you MUST had a back up collar attached to your leash. The latch makes life easier putting the collar on/off but is flawed and UNLATCHES MID-WALK! Take the extra pains of using the original prong and rest assure your pooch will be safe!

perfect for training! especially for stubborn pups

    By on

Our trainer advised us to purchase Herm Sprenger prong collars for our two pullers since the pinch collars weren’t hacking it. I was nervous after reading the Chewy reviews and questions section. I was worried this wouldn’t be an authentic Sprenger, but it arrived with the correct label. This collar is a complete game changer! Pups rarely break heel and if they do go after something suddenly, the prong collar does the work and gets them back by my side quickly. I rarely need to correct them because it does the work for me. In regards to other reviews, I like the quick release latch and haven’t had any issues with it.

    Great collar if used correctly

    By on

If you don’t know how to use this tool I recommend asking for a professional to assist you. If your having a problem with the quick release the collar isn’t on the dog correctly. If your not getting results it’s not being used correctly. It’s not a magic pill that will make all your problems go away. I had a great hike with my fast walking puller with zero issues and it was awesome. A great addition to my hiking gear tool box.
