My very large DSH cat develops an undercoat of wooly hair during the winter months which Matts in the summer. This comb was a bit clumsy to use. It was great for removing the small matts but larger matts took quite a bit of work to get out and caused my cat some pain. I would’ve liked to have seen it cut through the large Matts better. Otherwise, it’s ok
so far it seems fine. Haven't used it a lot yet. The last one melted in my hand. So I hope this one will be better
This tool looks dangerous but after watching videos online I am using it on a friendly feral cat that has large chunks of tangled fur. He is not afraid so the tangles are lessening with each use. I recommend this tool.
Keeps hair nice gets this of matting without any discomfort. Easy to use
I was skeptical about this anti matting comb, so not expecting much. But WOW! This comb cuts matted hair right out without taking healthy, unmatted hair with it. Definitely worth the cost. Brody approves!
Worth every penny. We have a 13 pound long haired domestic kitty and while it’s never comfortable for the kitty, this worked magic and allowed us to gently raised the mats from her skin and cut them out.
I purchased the Herzko dematting comb for my cat because he has many knots. I tried it many times and it did no take the knots out.
Just sorry I didn't get it this week when it is on sale.
I have a long haired cat that gets horrible mats in the winter no matter how hard I try to keep her combed. I tried this comb and all I can say is that it was useless. It doesn’t cut the mats it just pulls her hair and both of us end up angry and sore. Going to have to try something else.
I used this for my long haired cat as she has mattes I need to get out. It couldn’t get under the mattes to cut them out, and did more pulling out hair than cutting out the parts I needed. I’m wondering if it’s because it was the size of the brush to cat? It felt clumsy. I could potentially see this working for a dog better, if the dog is over 20lbs.
