Hertzko Self-Cleaning Dog & Cat Deshedding Tool

So, when I took this out of the box, I went, "Dang, the tines on this are way smaller than I thought... this brush probably won't do anything." The animal I got it for is my long-haired cat. He's a bit overweight and let some mats happen in his back fur as a result, and he usually hates grooming, so I had trouble getting him to let me brush him out. I've used some other de-matting tools, and they weren't bad, but he didn't like me using them. I think this brush has fixed that problem. My kitty started purring immediately when I used it on him, he mewed at me pitifully when I tried to stop, and rubbed his face all over the brush when I set it down. And despite its short tines, it pulls out a truly amazing amount of his excess undercoat hair! It also helped me work out one of the mats, and gently remove the other two (left a balder spot, but he wasn't in pain, and that's when I tried to stop and he mewed at me and grabbed at my hand with his paw). The only downside is that after a couple of strokes with the brush, I have to stop and quickly pull the removed hair off of the brush because it's fairly shallow. I think the shallow tines are part of why my cat finds it so comfy though, so, worth it. So yeah. 100% recommend. This brush is magic. At least, that's what my cat seems to think! … more

I love this brush! I have two cats, one of which is not a huge fan of being brushed and sheds all over my house. This bush has made keeping her fur in check. It does not seem to irritate her skin while a brush her and it takes off so much more than the normal brushes I have for them. Both cats let me use this on them about once or twice a week and it really has decreased the shedding immensely.

This is literally the best deshedder I've ever used. My dog Max has some nappy fur for being short furred and this thing helps big time. 10/10 recommend to anyone who has short or long haired dogs. If I could post pictured i would because its literally amazing. It helped a lot and reduced shedding by a ton

Just received my deshedder and using it for 2 minutes I had to keep snapping the blade back into the handle... not worth the money and very inconvenient and time consuming to have to keep putting the blade attachment back into the handle.... do not buy!!! Blade should stay in place not keep popping out....

This brush is amazing! My flame point Siamese is shedding like crazy and this brush removed much of loose hair!

I am so glad my friend introduced me to this fantastic item. It does a great job taking the hair off of Max and makes him look sooooo good. I strongly recommend it and feel everyone with a pet needs it.

Works well. Short even strokes are best unless you have a cat that prefers long strokes in which case you make it work

I ordered this brush over the FURminator for two reasons. One, it has a rounded profile and two, it didn't have the California warning about it being made with hazardous materials. A friend also told me she felt like the FURminator just skimmed the surface and didn't get the undercoat. I believe this does get the undercoat and doesn't seem to pull my long haired cat's fur. He even purred while I brushed him. Would highly recommend.

I previously had a furminator for my last dog. This Hertzko one works just as well, if not better. I especially like the curve that the blade has to conform to your pet's body. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because of the mechanism that detaches the blade for cleaning and the button that pushes the removed fur out of the teeth of the blades. The spring loaded buttons feel kinda cheap and feel like they will fail in the future. Other than that, this device removes a lot of hair and works great. I would definitely recommend it.
