Keep your eye on this, or...

My cat likes this---keeps him busy for at least an hour, throwing it, batting it, etc. He throws it a lot, usually into a place with carpet that it won't roll on. The tail came off the first day & I had to re-tie it. It seems to circle in a smaller pattern on the floor the more it is used. The tail came off the first day & I had to re-tie it. It seems to circle in a smaller pattern on the floor the more it is used. Pros, it moves on its own, comes with a battery, has similar movement to an actual insect, and has a furry tail attachment that resembles a bushy animal tail. Cons, it can only be used on hard floors and so we had to put it in the bathroom in our small apartment. It get's trapped in any non-90 degree corners and ends up making a continuous "whirring" noise, which then prompts my cat to come meowing at me to untrap it so the playtime can continue. This kind of defeats the original purpose of having an interactive and self-guided playtime experience haha. End of the story is that water got into the battery and it died, so I threw it out but kept the tail, which my cat is obsessed with since the start anyways. 3 stars for the furry tail remnant. … more
