Parakeets won't touch it
By melissa123 on Dec 8, 2020
We have 3 parakeets, and none of them will touch this food. We usually give them seed, but I purchased these pellets by mistake. I figured it was worth a try because the seeds are very messy, and it's always hard to tell if I'm throwing away good seed or not mixed in with the shells and husks. So I feel like there is quite a bit wasted when I change out their food with the seeds. But this was a no go for my birdies. They won't even touch it. I put treats on it to entice them. But they will eat the treats off the top and that's it. I don't know if they could learn to like this, but I don't want to risk them starving while I try to give them every chance to try this. My keets won't eat it yet
By Jacket on Nov 7, 2020
I was impressed at the ingredients and I know Higgins has a great rep, but I can't get my birds to eat it; I've tried straight and mixed with seed, etc. I'd love suggestions as I want them to get the vitamins.

Cockatiel eats them. Smells like herbs and spices.
By CRowland on May 25, 2020
Bought these for my cockatiel, he likes smaller pellets. They have a very herb, spice aroma. Sometimes you get the odd piece that is bigger than the rest.

smells citrus-y sweet
By FluffysBestie on Aug 28, 2019
The bag was completely wrapped in tape. It took about 5 minutes to get through it to find i had a large cut. Some food was loose in the shipping box. Otherwise, my birds like it. I used to buy the Cockatiel version for both my parakeets and cockatiels. Had to use mortar and pestle to bring them down to size or moisten them. Otherwise, food would be ricocheting all over the place

In Tune Pelleted Food is the Best
By JOBudgie on Jul 22, 2019
I have a little Parakeet/Budgie so I wanted something very healthy for him. After reading the wonderful ingredients I was sold, now I hoped my bird would eat it. I offered it to him as soon as it arrived. He loved the pellets and ate it quickly. He continues to still enjoy this food, I highly recommend it.

Better liked than I expected
By MamaBird on Jun 7, 2019
While I am not a fan of pellets as a rule and never buy them I was in dire need of something for my English Budgie and they were out of stock on the usual brand of seed I buy so thought I would try this as a filler to extend the seed I had until I could get to store and buy what I use. Surprisingly enough, my Budgie and my Quakers all ate this food even when I put it in a solo cup so I do recommend this one pellet.

TOTAL HIT!
By Hallie on Apr 6, 2019
My keets all LOVE this food they immediately hopped on my hand and began nibbling once they smelled it! I have to cockatiel version as well and it’s STILL a hit with them too! Even my picky bird ONLY wont eat the yellow ones but will eat the greens! She would only eat the red zupreem pellets so I am MORE than happy! Worth the $ hands down! Oh and the packaging is to die for I love the ziplock style with the peel off opening. Zero torn bags no clippies or bag rolling or Tupperware needed. GREAT food!

Just what I was looking for
By Dani on Mar 17, 2019
This is just what I was looking for to feed my lovebirds, parrotlet, cockatiel and some other birds. I tried the cockatiel/conure size but my birds didn't like the size and didn't eat them. This size is great for my birds and they eat the pellets now. So happy intune comes in this size now. Happy birds! Do wish the big size bag was cheaper tho but oh well.
