Fill your pet bird’s food dish with approximately what your pet consumes within a 24 hour period. Usually for parrots, the portion may range between 1/2 - 3/4 cup per bird, depending on the size of the parrot. Adjust the portions to meet your bird’s specific dietary needs. Supplement this diet with fresh fruits and vegetables. Remove uneaten food and seed hulls and clean food dish before refilling with new food. Always maintain fresh drinking water for your pet bird.

listen to the low reviews

wish I had heeded everyone's warnings. definitely should have realized something was up considering they are trying to pass this off as a mix suitable for such a wide array of birds - there is absolutely no way a finch could eat the same size food as a macaw! purchased the bulk size for my 6 budgies and 1 cockatiel and none of them can eat it. had to run to a local pet store to pick something else up after a couple of days of transitioning to this food because they nearly starved. worth mentioning that this is not an issue of them rejecting it due to it being unfamiliar - I attempted to integrate this food slowly, but they simply cannot eat it due to the large size. this food *might* be okay wish I had heeded everyone's warnings. definitely should have realized something was up considering they are trying to pass this off as a mix suitable for such a wide array of birds - there is absolutely no way a finch could eat the same size food as a macaw! purchased the bulk size for my 6 budgies and 1 cockatiel and none of them can eat it. had to run to a local pet store to pick something else up after a couple of days of transitioning to this food because they nearly starved. worth mentioning that this is not an issue of them rejecting it due to it being unfamiliar - I attempted to integrate this food slowly, but they simply cannot eat it due to the large size. this food *might* be okay for a conure, but definitely nothing smaller than that. incredibly disappointed that I spent so much money on this just to have to spend more money on another brand. ): … more

Vita Seed California Blend Parrot Food
By Birdman on Nov 13, 2020
This is not for large birds. This is for cockatiels and parakeets. Not parrots and cockatoos. Chewy does not show photos of the seeds for a reason. Higgins does and it is a lie. There are a few dried fruits and a few larger sized fruit shaped things that I call cat food but are meant for birds. but no. Not at all for large birds. For only $3 more get this for big birds https://www.chewy.com/kaytee-fiesta-variety-mix-parrot-food/dp/122822

Birds Love It!
By klb2sweet on Sep 25, 2020
My birds absolutely love this seed mix as a treat only! Buying the 25lb bag is the most economical way to buy it when you have multiple birds! I highly recommend!

he isn’t too thrilled
By disappointed on May 31, 2020
My little guy isn’t thrilled with these. I wished it had more dehydrated peppers and veggies but he isn’t a fan of this food. I purchased this based on a friends recommendation as I’m purchasing several different types of seeds to find the one he ultimately likes. So I guess I have to keep trying!

My birds luv chewy
By RonDanger on May 19, 2020
Higgins is our go-to feed for our parrots. And, chewy.com has the best price. The big 25lb bag got here pretty quickly and boxed-up nicely. Our Green-Cheeked Conure & our African Grey both love Higgins California Blend. And we all love chewy.com.

If you don’t mind safflower seeds
By Gabbysmom on Apr 19, 2020
I was disappointed that this food is mostly safflower seeds. My CAG is limited on how much safflower seeds she gets due to heart issues. I ordered this because Chewy was out of the Tropican that I usually get. I already get the small bag of safflower gold for her, so to substitute this other food and find it full of safflower, was disappointing.
