For a 1.5-inch Betta (from tip of nose to base of tail – before fin), feed 3 pellets of Betta Bio-Gold up to 3 times daily. Add 1 pellet per 1/4-inch of growth, never feeding more than 5 pellets at one feeding. You can do more feedings but make sure they are at least 3 hours apart and at least that amount of time before all lights are out in the room. During feedings, feed 1 one pellet at a time and make sure the Betta completely consumes each pellet. Do not over-feed, overfeeding can be detrimental to the Betta and the water quality. Remove any uneaten food after the feeding period.

All of my Bettas loved it!
By Savannah on Jan 14, 2021
I have 8 Betta fish and every one of them loved this food! The fish even chose to eat this over the freeze dried bloodworms they get. The bag poured food out too quickly, so I had to put the food into a different container. There was plenty of food in the bag, it wasn't too expensive, and my fish loved this food! It also arrived super quickly!

Nice smaller pellets.
By Deegee on Jan 29, 2021
Many Bettas have a hard time with pellets that are too large. These are perfect and the smallest ones I can find. They have adequate crude protein, but I wish they would improve product by using less fillers. I would still recommend this product.

An Ok Food.
By Amanda on Oct 19, 2020
Used this with my betta fish for years and years because over all, they ate it. Recently, with my current betta (I've had him almost 4 years), the food was accidently ruined, and couldn't find it for sale at my local pet store. Picked up another food. Could not believe how much my betta fish thrived on the different food. Betta fish will eat this, not saying there's an issue with them eating, it's good for smaller betta or betta with smaller mouths. However, they don't thrive, the bettas color is mediocre at best when on this food.

my betta loves these
By cammy on May 22, 2020
my rescue betta loves these pellets so much she will jump to eat them from my finger. she has also colored up fantastically since I got her and started feeding her these and the omega one bloodworms. my only complaint is that the pellets vary in size and some are too big for her and she ends up spitting them out, but it’s once she’s a little bigger that won’t be a problem anymore

Fleetwood's Favorite Food
By Fleetwood on Mar 14, 2020
My beautiful son Fleetwood loves this food. I feed him the Biogold pellets for dinner every night and he happily gobbles it up. He never hits his breakfast that hard (I feed him either blood worms, mysis, or daphnia for breakfast) I thought he would go for the whole critter foods more readily, but was genuinely surprised to see that these pellets are his favorite.

I’ve kept Betta Fish for over 20 years and tried many different foods for them, but time and again Hikari brings out the best in my fish.

All bettas will love this!
By Emily on Mar 20, 2020
Best betta food out there. They are super small pellets. I just wish they had a container of these over the package thing they come in. Every betta I have had has loved these!

Best Beta Food

Such an easy container to measure out portions. My Beta was a picky eater until I got this food.

Not as Happy as I Expected to be.
By blondejedi on May 2, 2019
Not only did this betta food take longer than expected to arrive so I had to buy some before it arrived, but it also comes out way too fast. It eventually floats to the bottom and just sits there. I'm not as happy with this food as I thought I would be.
