Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in his or her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support your dog's bladder health. Dogs need the right balance of minerals to maintain good bladder health. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which can lead to the creation of bladder stones.

  • My dog loves it.

    By on

After my female Sheltie/Collie Mix had 2 UTI's in 5 months, I asked the vet about a special diet. this is what he recommended. He gave me a couple samples of it & it was a hit from day one. I mix a spoon of it in with the dry urinary care food twice a day. Of course, it's still too soon to know if it will keep her from having any more UTI's but since she will eat it, it is worth the chance to save her from further issues.

  • My dog loves this!

My dog has some issues with getting UTIs, so my vet recommended this wet food. He likes it way more than his previous wet food, I think because of the texture being stew instead of a pate-type texture. It mixes easily with his dry food, doesn't smell like dog food, and it all looks like real ingredients. I can't speak to the urinary care yet, since he has only been on it for about 2 weeks. So far, so good! I would definitely recommend!

  • Excellent Prescription Dog Food

Sam is a 28 lb, 14 yr old PBGV. He is taking the Hills Urinary Care C/D for bladder stones. We are doing a mixture of wet and dry. We put the wet in one half, the dry in the other half of the bowl. He devours it. He deserves the best we can give him, and we are very pleased.

  • Great Food

My dog absolutely loves her new food. I was hesitant when hearing I had to get a prescription food for my dog. Not because of the price but because I feared she’d hate it. Well she loves it and the price at Chewy is the best around. Thanks Chewy

  • Hill's Urinary Care Chicken Stew

    By on

Although there are very few choices available for dogs on the c/d diet, our dog Riley really likes the Hill's c/d Multicare Chicken & Vegetable stew. We mix it with the pate style c/d food sold by Hill's, since that is a little less expensive, to save a few dollars, and she still gobbles it up. It also helps that we also warm it up for 20 - 30 seconds in the microwave after it has been refrigerated.

If your fur baby has to have a prescription product, this is the one to try. Our Giselle "likes" the other Hill's Prescription food but "loves" this one. It is closer to human food than the others with identifiable vegetables.

  • Jada loves this food!

My loving boxer Jada loooooves this food! She is over 12 years old now, and slowing down. She is not eating much anymore, but she loves this food. I am so grateful as I think it is giving her more strength in her later days.

When my vet gave me a sample of this food for my dog that had an infection it was an easy decision. This food worked to help my dog along with medication. It is not her favorite. But she will eat it when necessary.

  • She loves this food!

    By on

I have to use this formula for my 4 year old Shih Tzu and the other brand was ground wet food. This brand has veggies, rice and chunks of chicken. She loves this food and it makes me happy to know that even though it is prescription, she can enjoy her food. I highly recommend if you need this formula.
