A healthy bladder starts with the right balance of vital nutrients. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which may lead to the creation of bladder stones. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Stress in the home has been shown to negatively impact bladder health as well. Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians developed Prescription Diet c/d Multicare Feline Stress clinical nutrition specially formulated to support your cat's urinary health, while also managing stress. In fact, c/d Multicare is clinically tested nutrition to lower the recurrence of most common urinary signs by 89%. Plus, with the S+OXSHIELD seal of confidence, the Urinary Care formula meets specific nutrient standards shown to promote a urinary environment that helps reduce the risk of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain optimal weight. If you are unsure, ask your veterinarian. For best results & safety practices: Gradually transition to your pets new food over a 7 day period. Exclusively feed the recommended Prescription Diet dry food, wet food and treats. Keep fresh water available at all times. Have your veterinarian monitor your pets condition.
A gradual transition to a new pet food is important to avoid digestive upset. To transition, mix your pet’s current food with the new food. Over 7 days, gradually decrease the amount of the current pet food while increasing the amount of new pet food. In some cases, your veterinarian may recommend no transition or a shorter transition time.

So far, so good (it's only been a couple of weeks since we started feeding it). Our cat took to eating this food without issue. Most importantly, I'm hoping this manages her FLUTD which is frustrating (and expensive) to deal with. I tried other urinary health food (non-prescription) but they didn't work. I can say that Chewy was very quick to get our vet's approval and delivery was quick.

My vet recommending mixing this and the urinary/metabolism variety for my cat who suddenly developed utis Initially upon getting the mix both cats ate less and nibbled all day (which wasn't a bad thing). But now they eat it pretty quickly, I think it just took them a little while to adjust to this one. The good thing is my cat is doing well!

The three inside cats seem to like the food just fine. I even fed it to three ferals outside and they took to it right away. The first ingredient is chicken, so at least it has a little more meat in it than other foods. It is super expensive and only comes in two rather small size bags, thus the less than 5 star rating.

This food, along with distilled water, has solved our peeing outside the box problem. The vet says Oliver is one of the lucky kitties that has all the symptoms of a UTI, but none of the actual infection. The situation was making me crazy, but within days of the new food and water, problem solved!

One of our older cats has a tendency to have urinary blockages/crystals. Not so good, so we started him on the Urinary Care canned food. No go, would not eat it. Not too surprising as he prefers dry food. So we tried the dry food and glory be! He ate it without a problem.

I started my male cat on this food due to FIC. It has helped him so much! He loves the taste & so does my female cat. I love that it still provides wholesome nutrition for them.

This food is a lifesaver. Our cat nearly passed away from urinary issues, but hasn't had any more problems since eating this food. Thankfully, our vet gave us a script for this food!

My husband accidentally ordered the wrong food for our cats. When we called to set up a return label we were told to keep the food and donate it to a shelter. We donated it to Spay Neuter Kansas City for their Pet Food Pantry! Thanks Chewy.com!
