Disaster for Meals
By Chicken on Jan 2, 2019
My 'little girl' was prescribed Hill's Prescription ID and readily accepted it for her meals. She's since been taken off that and prescribed Derm Defense, which she refuses to eat at all!! I'm beside myself with frustration. Is there any other 'form' of this dog food available?

Not liking New formula
By Maybelline on Oct 29, 2018
Apparently Hill's recently changed their formula. The food used to have a nice thick gravy. The gravy is now like water. Our dog still likes the food but the thin gravy makes it very difficult for our dog to eat without making a huge mess. I wish they would have just left it alone !!

Vet has prescribed this for our dog, Riecie and she seems to like it better than the old formula.

My Vet recommended but my dog is not impressed
By Peanut on Sep 3, 2018
When I follow directions and only feed this my dog stops scratching, yay. But she doesn’t eat it unless she’s starving, yes, I do give her scraps which does defeat the purpose, but, you know....

Dogs love it
By Jack on Aug 3, 2018
Our veterinarian recommended it because our dog has allergies. Dog loves the dry and can foods. Customer service was very helpful because I was switching him from another Hills Science dry and can food.

Works wonders
By Capone on May 29, 2018
This food has made a huge difference for my fur baby!! We have had him for 3years (he is 4) and is has always winened and chewed in his paws . We’ve tried different allergy medicine but he never really got relief. This made a very big difference in just a small amount of time!!!! He is much more content and only occasionally likes his paws

My dog is very picky about his food but he liked this immediately. Too soon to tell if it helps his skin but I have had good results with this brand

Fast Food!
By Iris on Jan 4, 2018
My dog loves Hill's prescription diet, both the canned and the dry. What I loved about ordering it through Chewy was that it arrived on my doorstep less than 24 hours after I placed the order! They processed the order, verified the prescription with our veterinarian, and delivered the goods in less than one full day. That was amazing. But getting back to the food: my dog honestly loves it, and he wouldn't TOUCH a couple of brands of regular dry dog food I had purchased for him, one of which was very pricey and the other was more grocery-store-shelf mainstream. Also, since my dog was put on Hill's because of allergies, he smells a lot better. Prior to eating this diet he had a strong odor My dog loves Hill's prescription diet, both the canned and the dry. Happy Golden and Labradoodle
By Goldengirl on Sep 18, 2017
My 18 month Golden Retriever and Labradoodle both love this food we mix it with the kibble. The doodle had quit eating a food for allergy sensitivity as well as stomach sensitivity, I only have to mix a tablespoon of the canned with the kibble and she gobbles it down. This makes the canned food last longer. None of the prescription food is inexpensive but on a par with the other food we were feeding our dogs this not only seems to satisfy them but it is less expensive. We definitely recommend this food for allergy and stomach sensitivities. Happy Golden Mom!
