Do you carry Hills i/d Digestive Care Stress?
Answer by ChewyJan 10, 2019
We offer the Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Digestive Care Stress Chicken Flavor Dry Dog Food and the Hill's Prescription Diet i/d Digestive Care Stress Rice, Vegetable & Chicken Stew Canned Dog Food, 5.5-oz, case of 24.

Can you order a case with two different kinds of Hills canned food. Like 6 turkey and 6 chicken and veggies
Answer by ChewyJan 27, 2019
At this time the manufacturer does not offer a variety pack.

How long can this be refridgerated after opening?
Answer by ChewyJan 17, 2021
After opening, canned products should be covered and stored in a refrigerator at 40 to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. In general, refrigerated canned foods should be used within five to seven days after opening. Canned products with high amounts of rice often have separation of water from the other canned product (free water will be seen at the bottom or around the side of the can) within a few days. This separation of water is called syneresis and does not change the nutritional characteristics of the food, but will affect food texture and possibly palatability. Since freezing dramatically changes the texture of canned products and adversely affects palatability, freezing canned pet food is not recommended either before or after opening.

I Don't Know What to Think

I have a very small dog with a sensitive stomach. My vet suggested I try this food. I took a couple of cans home from his office. Cooper loved it. His stomach issues cleared up. I was thrilled and immediately ordered a case. It arrived within 24hrs. I opened a can this morning and it looked completely different from what I had brought home from the vet. The consistency was different, the color was different, even the smell was different. Cooper wouldn't touch it. I called Chewy. They are always so helpful. They have sent another case in the event that there was an issue with the current batch. In the meantime, I have had to give Cooper his old food and am hoping for the best. So disappointing.

Mia wastes more than she eats

I've had to put Mia on this prescription diet food after an emergency trip to the vets and she's not a fan. I think she wastes more than she actually eats, which I absolutely hate because this stuff is EXPENSIVE! (not just at Chewy - in general). There have been occasions I've been able to entice/trick her by mixing a tiny bit of the treats she likes in and then she's ate at least a portion of it, but lately she's down right refusing. The times she has ate it I've had to literally hand/spoon feed it to her, as she wouldn't eat it out of a dog dish/plate/bowl for some reason. It's an ongoing struggle, but it may work great for your dog. The pup a family member recently got is forever trying to get at and eat this food - she's on the other end of the spectrum though, as she'll literally eat anything....even her own feces 🤢

Great product

I got this because my German Shepherds stomach had been acting up and her bowels were not solid or easy to clean up. I switched her to this food and it's the BEST thing I have ever done. Her stomach is always good and the backyard is a breeze to clean up!!! I'm sticking with this entire line.

recipe change and dented cans

My vet suggested this food for my 16 yr old Cairn mutt when she started getting picky about the Rx food she had eaten for quite a while. She loved the three trial cans that we got from the vets, so I ordered a case from Chewy. The consistency did look a bit different and she took a sniff and rejected it entirely. I have had to mix in boiled chicken to get her to eat the cans from Chewy. I did notice that several of these cans were dented to varying degrees, but it did not seem like spoiled food can collapse nor did I notice any punctures, so I thought nothing of it other than being a little surprised to receive even slightly damaged goods from Chewy. I am not sure what to think now. I really hope this food is ok. My dog does not seem ill, so that's good, but she is not a fan. I am curious if anyone else has had this experience.

Our pup loves it

We had a tummy issue that sent us to the vet. We bought this at the vet, but I was happy to find it on Chewy. They handled everything with prescription. Our pup is feeling so much better and loves the taste of this food.

Watery Food

I purchased Hill's i/d canned Digestive Care Low-Fat Chicken Stew from Chewy. The food was completely watery. Whenever I purchased this food from my vet, it was never watery like the food Chewy sent me. Very disappointing because I have been a loyal Chewy customer for years.

Excellent food. Quite expensive but I have a 16 yr, old Shitz Tzu c digestive issues and it works well. A very selective eater but she will eat this with no protest! It is so easy to order as Chewy contacts the vet for the prescription (yes dog food that needs a RX!). Chewy is a great company! I get as much as I can from them.

No more upset stomach or IMT triggers.

She loves it and is maintaining a good weight. She is 13, has intermittent IMT and only her canines left for teeth. Since starting her on the various forms of this diet about 7 years ago (along with medication) she has had only two episodes of IMT.

My Husky LOVES it!

My Senior Husky has been having bouts of IBS and our Vet put him on this food for 2 weeks. His stomach issues cleared right up and now he won’t eat anything but this. Added in the I/D Dry and he cleans his bowl at every meal. So happy that my husky is back to his old self.

Recommend

We do recommend this food, but also recommend that you make sure to get an authorization number from your vet for the order or you may wait up to 10 days or more to receive the product. They will not ship without it.
