When our new rescue began regurgitating a bit, our Vet thought it might have something to do with the high-end, 'delivered' food we were feeding him so placed him on the i/d w/Turkey which stopped the regurgitation (he was suspecting a chicken problem) . However, he was on a Hill's diet when we adopted him and his itching was quite noticeable, then when we had him on the high-end food, the itching stopped. Back on Hill's and the itching has started up again. I'm thinking it may be a fat 'think' so I'm going to try a dehydrated raw food (turkey) to see what happens. (Note: I purchased a test which is supposed to test for food 'stressors' and it came back that chicken was one of his stressors ....)
I gave this 3 stars because our dog seems to like the taste...... However, she has still been dealing with some digestive issues, so I can't really confirm this brand is combatting the problem. I've tried researching it and can't find anything on it!
Sophie is a sickly Maltese who frequently suffers from serious digestive issues. Our vet put her on this food and for the last few years she has not had any additional episodes.
Our miniature schnauzer is 11 and didn't want to eat with a desire. Started giving him a tablespoon with his dry food and it has done so .. much for him. One thing is he has a desire to eat. Secondly, he has more pep and is so puppy like!
After having pancreatitis this summer, this was prescribed. She is doing terrific and loves the taste.
This is the best digestive dog food. My dog loves it. He's been eating it for 5 years now. No problems. Can be mixed with dry food & other prescription diet foods. Highly recommend.
Hill's Prescription Diet I/d Digestive Care has been horribly inconsistent over the last six months or so. The consistency is a problem. One of the last two cases was normal and the other is gummy and gross. Before this we had two cases that had the same gummy and gross consistency. Our IG does not like it and the food is a mess to work with. So much so that we have had to switch to Purina's Gastroenteric formula dog food. We hope Hill's gets their quality control together so we can continue to buy their dog food and shop at Chewy's.
My Great Danes LOVE this food. Truly they prefer it to rotisserie chicken. One of my Danes has colitis and this helps him tremendously.
This has been excellent for my furbaby. Has definitely helped her stomach issues. Would highly recommend to anyone.
This is the food my hound's veterinarian prescribed and this is the first time I ordered from Chewy.
