  • Tasty and effective!

I use this as a complement to the dry food and Poppy loves it. Her flexibility and energy is great most days, despite approaching 15. It also does not cause tummy troubles as some other foods do.

  • Yoda: Food for Joint Mobility

    By on

Yoda likes the Hill's Prescription diet canned food. For some reason she didn't take to the Hill's Prescription kibble; think it was the size which was about double the Buffalo Blue she was so used to having. Two other dogs on the kibble also like the canned. Read the ingredients on the can and noticed the hyalouronic acid was not included, as it is in the kibble. Did I miss something? Anyway: got a supplement of hyalouronic acid at the health food store and give Yoda those capsules with her meal. My veterinarian thinks the hyalouronic acid is "The Bomb" that makes the biggest difference for joint mobility; and, I agree. The canned food is meaty and thick: I scoop out a big round dollop and slice it like meat loaf; then, dice it into smaller bits and mix it in with Buffalo Blue for Senior Dogs: a dash of low-salt organic chicken broth and we're good to go. ALL of our doggies love it. I garnish their kibble with a bit of the canned prescription, too; then no one feels left out. Yum! Tempted to try it myself! … more

  • Dog loves it

Micah hates the dry food version of this prescription, but adores the wet food. I feel like he's finally getting the benefit of this diet. Should have switched sooner. Wish it was cheaper though, Micah is a big dog and it is 35 a flat of 12 cans.

  • Hill's J/D canned is good

    By on

Our Schnauzer Reno has arthritis in his hip and the dry Hill's J/D seems to help quite a bit so we decided to try canned as well. We mix them together for him. Just started on the canned so we will see if this also helps him get around easier.

This food is really dense, but my dog likes it. I can't comment on its effectiveness because she has only been eating it for two weeks.

  • Prescription Canned JD

    By on

My Henry (min pin) has been on prescription JD since he was 1-1/2 he's 4 know. My doctor suggested I get him on wet food. He ate once and after that he wouldn't, so I put a little virgin olive oil (not a lot just enough to give it flavor) he loves it. Both are good for his coat and skin, he gets wet in the morning and dry in the evening and with him being a small dog both 8lb bag dry and 12 cans wet will last him a long time.
