    Better than expected

    We have had more than our share of kidney disease in older dogs and cats. We always try the K/D when recommended by our vet, but is the first time one of our dogs would eat this food. I don’t know if Science Diet has changed the composition over the years, but our Cavvie is eating the canned version very enthusiastically. We have not tried the dry version as he has no teeth! His situation is pretty dire, and we are in the final stages, but he is still eating, and that is a major victory at this point. One caveat: The canned version is very wet and mushy and a little challenging for a dog with no teeth. We end up feeding some of it to him by hand. … more

    She would not go near it - not one bite

    We have been through them all for KD and for our pup this is one of the ones she liked the least. She wouldn't touch it. We were able to get her to eat the lamb version of this brand but not the chicken. Another tip - cut it into slices and bake it at 400 for 40 min as another way to feed it.
