    Kidney Care for older dog

    Our 16 year old dachshund requires a special diet to aid kidney function. She enjoyed her kibble version of k/d. However, when her teeth began failing we were pleasantly surprised when she readily accepted the canned version of k/d.     Kody won't eat but usually likes EVERYTHING!

    Kody was placed on the k/d diet. He originally tried Hills k/d Chicken stew and Loved it! He will eat everything you give him- veggies, dog food and treats. Well, NOT THIS!!! It comes out of the can, smells like cabbage and just falls apart- no gravy, no real substance and looks like brown plastic Kody was placed on the k/d diet. It comes out of the can, smells like cabbage and just falls apart- no gravy, no real substance and looks like brown plastic. He did try it the first time and ate it, but NOT after that. He will eat the other kinds BUT NOT the Chicken or Lamb that just PLOP out and look and smell awful. They can do better and do with the other kinds. I bet even "Mikey" wouldn't like this if he were a dog. If you expect a dog to eat your food, make it appetizing please. I expect QUALITY for the PRICE I HAVE PAID and FOR MY DOG to be ABLE TO EAT THE FOOD!!! … more
