Just like the human epidemic, almost 50% of the pet population is overweight. Even a little extra weight can impact the pet's quality of life and relationship with family because that extra weight can reduce play time, impact mobility and affect the lifelong general health of your dog. Hill's nutritionists & veterinarians developed Prescription Diet r/d clinical nutrition especially formulated to support your dog's weight management. In fact, r/d is clinically proven nutrition for healthy weight loss in just 8 weeks.

Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.

My dog is finally beginning to lose some weight now which she has not been able to do before. Excellent food for her and she likes it.
My dog loves it as a topping to her dry food She looks foward to eating this good and we have seen some loss of weight in her which is good. We are the right track
Please be aware that Hill’s Science prescription R/D has mold in it. Several cans have had this so plz go through the can and make sure it’s not moldy before feeding. You would think w it being prescription that you wouldn’t have to worry. This is super expensive so it sucks to have to throw out all these cans of moldy food but I can’t feed it to my pets. Be careful and watch out and don’t trust it just bcz it has a high priced name.
Received canned food wasn't what was expected, as Vet prefers dry-for teeth, and influence to drink water. Our dog LOVES this food! Even the cat tried to get into the bag!
I love this store! You have all the things I need for my "Pups" and everything always arrives in a timely manner!! I also buy "cat food" for my parents cats up in New York and have it delivered!! Its such a nice company with great policies and always so helpful should you have a question or a problem! Thank you Chewy for being a reliable establishment!!! Renée Guercia
Our 12 year old Doxie loves his new diet. I was reluctant because he was used to a stew type food. This is a much drier food, but firm enough for him to take his time to actually bite into it rather than just lapping it up. Three months = 2 lbs lost, which is great for his 15 lb body.
Our vet recommended this food to be made into treats for our husky with a liver issue. You cut the food into bite-size pieces and cook in a 325 oven for about 20 to 30 minutes - MAKE SURE THEY ARE COMPLETELY HARD AND COOKED - otherwise they will mold/grow bacteria very quickly. Very low fat treat that is minimally processed...
Molly was using Hill’s dry food, but she decided she wouldn’t eat it. I purchased some of the same Hill’s canned food and I mixed it with the dry. She loves it again!
This food is excellent. One of my miniature long-haired dachshunds is on this food and loves it. She is 15, so maintaining her weight is important. She never refuses to eat it like she has other foods, so that's great. I like that it doesn't have a dog food smell, too.
Thank goodness, he loves it. When my DoxiePoo became allergic to chicken, we had to switch to a pork based diet and this is it. It's also low fat so he could shed a few pounds. We all like it.
