Almost 50% of the pet population is overweight. Even a little extra weight can lead to serious health problems. Extra weight can reduce play time, impact mobility and affect the general health of your dog. Factors contributing to weight gain include age, lack of exercise and overfeeding. Many commercial pet foods are loaded with salt and fat, which improve the taste but also have dramatic effects on your dog's weight and overall health. Along with frequent physical exercise, choosing the right food plays a very important role in helping dogs reach their proper weight. At Hill's, nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to reduce dogs' body fat by 22% in two months, while keeping him or her satisfied.

This food has been prescribed for my Puggle that has difficulty with excess weight. This is our second bag (8.5lb bag lasts a good month and a half) but there is no change. Chloe is hungry constantly and poops at least 4 times a day. This food is not inexpensive so I was hoping for results by this 3 month mark. She likes the food and the kibble size is good for small dogs. She seems a little more energetic on our 30 minute + walks. Perhaps this is related to the food so it may be slowly working?
I made a huge mistake with my autoship. Ashley was so knowledgeable and understanding. She fixed my problem. I love chewy.
We have an older Rottweiler that is having arthritis issues. Though not overweight we are just hedging our bets. The food has worked out great and she loves it. She is no longer starving which she has been a food monger all of her life.
I have a Husky that needs to loss aprx 20 pounds. Her Dr prescribed this food. I thought she won't like it but she surprise me. She love it and she eat the whole bowl. I had tried all brands, prescribe or not and she never finished her bowl. But now with this one I don't have to mix it or force her to eat it. Hoping she loss all those xtra pounds. Until now she has loss 2 pounds.
Charlie's veterinarian informed us he was overweight and needed to be on a diet. She recommended this dog food, and he loves the taste. His weigh in is 11/30/2022.
Our purchases and deliveries from Chewy are always purr-fect. My dislike on this recent order is probably more for "HILLS" There should be a much smaller size bag available for their line of Diet Precription food. I had to purchase a 27 5 lb bag of dry R/D dog food for a 16 lbs dog that only gets a 1/4 cup of dry twice a day. An 8 to 12 pound bag would be preferred
Katy, my Sheltie has gotten a bit older...she's slowing down...she has arthritis now, she needed to lose some weight that kind of snuck up on her. She is a picky eater, but she loves this new food!! It's good for her overall and she hasn't a clue that she's on a diet!!
We bought this for one of our dogs who is over weight. I was concerned that she wouldn't like it but she loves it.. We ended up giving it to three of our other dogs who also love it and poops are solid for the first time in a long time.
Easy transaction with quick delivery. Contacted vet directly.
The first time we tried for almost 6-8 months it was good. Then every store ran out of it. The most recent batch of this good created allergies with my dog and I didn't like the quality. Didn't think it's same quality as before. So we discontinued
