When will this be back in stock?

Different variety of w/d canned food?
Answer by ChewyAug 27, 2019
The w/d prescription diet is only available in a vegetable and chicken stew recipe.

How do you know how much a serving size is for your dog? My 12 y/o senior diabetic pup is 18 pounds and his weight is stable. He eats twice per day.
Answer by ChewyApr 28, 2020
Please click on the attached photos to reference the feeding chart for both can sizes. This feeding chart is a general recommendation. It can be adjusted for your specific pet when also taking into account their age, activity level, etc. If you are uncertain of the amount, you can always consult with your veterinarian.

Holly approved!

I feed my dog (Holly) the dry version of this food. She’s diabetic and has Cushings. Long story short, I have an upcoming trip planned and decided to do some trial stays with a pet sitter to make sure we didn’t run into any unforeseen issues with Holly. Holly HAS TO eat twice a day, and immediately be given insulin shots, and Cushings Rx. There’s no way she can go without. While with the sitter she refused to eat. :( probably bc she was in a new place and had some anxiety. I decided to order the “wet” canned version of her dry dog food to try at her next trial run with the dog sitter. We mixed half the recommended amount of wet food in with half of the dry food- Holly absolutely loved it! Ate it right up and took her meds without fuss. I can now have peace of mind for my upcoming trip. We plan to only give Holly the wet food when she’s away at her sleepovers with the sitter, so it’s like a “special treat”!

Once again, Chewy comes through for their customers!

My Pomeranian was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and the vet wanted her to have this food. She adjusted to it right away and best of all, it comes in the smaller 5.5 oz. cans. The vet had initially given me a couple of the big cans from their office, but she's so small that I decided to get the smaller cans so the leftovers would stay fresh longer.

Not sure what changed

My dog has been eating this food for almost 10 years without issue. This last case of food she will not touch. She sniffs it and walks away. She is very food driven and ALWAYS hungry so it’s very unlike her. We switched to ID in the mean time but I’m not sure if the formula changed or what. She won’t eat the dry WD either. When she would eat it, it was the perfect food and kept her colitis under control.

Improved health in about two weeks

Our Chihuahua mix was showing signs of aging and didn’t want to go for walks anymore. The vet recommended Hill multi-benefit food for her. She is more alert and seems to be enjoying the outdoors more. She looks great more lean and bright eyed.

it’s a hit

I use this food when my dog is experiencing certain issues. I thought I was order the other form of the food. I was a little surprised when I opened the can. My dog absolutely loves this and I think she’s happy that I made a mistake when ordering. We can’t go back to the other format :) it’s gentle on her system when it’s inflamed. She gobbled it up quickly

Still trying to get Moxie to accept the new food. Sooner or later she may decide to eat it. We haven't been giving her other food and she still lets her morning feeding sit there intil 10 pm. She is only getting 1/2 cup and that is a third of what she is suppose to get.

I believe I got bad food

My dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes and was put on this food. The first case I got she ate with no problem. The second case, EVERY can she snubbed and walked away. Her glucose crashed and she ended up at the vet ($357) they fed her the same food and said she ate it fine. That night I opened another new can and she snubbed it. She's a chow hound and food is her friend, she loves food. Something was wrong with this case and changed the food completely. She has eaten in ever since. Very dissatisfied.
